  • Clinches series with shutout
Silovs posted a 28-save shutout in Friday's 1-0 win over the Predators in Game 6.

Advice: Silovs was dialed in from the start, earning his first NHL shutout to secure a 4-2 series win for the Canucks. The 23-year-old has allowed just five goals on 80 shots over three appearances since taking over for Casey DeSmith in goal beginning with Game 4. If Silovs continues to operate as the starter in the second round, he'll find a much more challenging task ahead versus the Oilers. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:17 pm
  • Comes up short in Game 6
Saros stopped 28 of 29 shots in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Canucks in Game 6.

Advice: Saros was excellent, going save for save with Arturs Silovs for nearly the whole game. Pius Suter had the breakthrough for the Canucks with 1:39 left in the third period, and that goal was the one to end the Predators' season. Despite a 2-4 record in the playoffs, Saros allowed just 12 goals on 120 shots over six contests, with Friday marking the first time he'd faced more than 21 shots in a game all series. The Finnish goalie is under contract for one more season at a $5 million cap hit, so it's possible his name could swirl in trade rumors if the Predators opt to shake things up. • Back in AHL
Dell was reassigned to AHL Ontario on Friday.

Advice: Dell was recalled at the start of the playoffs to serve as the Kings' No. 3 netminder. He's gone 7-4-1 with a 2.57 GAA and a .914 save percentage in 12 AHL appearances this season. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:14 am
  • Called up from minors
Knight was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Thursday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.

Advice: Knight has spent the entire 2023-24 campaign in the minors with the Checkers, logging action in 45 regular-season contests in which he posted a 25-14-5 record and .905 save percentage. Even with his promotion, Knight shouldn't be expected to get into any games, primarily serving as an emergency option behind Sergei Bobrovsky and Anthony Stolarz. Rotowire.com Thursday, 12:50 pm
  • Falls to Edmonton
Rittich allowed four goals on 26 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 Game 5 loss to the Oilers.

Advice: Rittich and the Kings couldn't overcome Edmonton's three-goal second period in the series-deciding loss. The 31-year-old Rittich started the series' final two games, going 0-2-0 with an .872 save percentage after Cam Talbot struggled in the first three games. Rittich was solid in the regular season, going 13-6-3 with a .921 save percentage. Rittich could be looking for an opportunity to win a starting gig as a free agent this summer. • Earns series-clinching win
Skinner stopped 18 of 21 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 Game 4 victory over Los Angeles.

Advice: It wasn't the busiest game for Skinner, but the 25-year-old netminder did just enough for the one-goal win as the Oilers took the series 4-1. After allowing nine goals on 63 shots in his first two games of the series, Skinner looked better in his last three contests, posting a .951 save percentage. Edmonton will now get a few days off before they face the winner of the Vancouver-Nashville series in the second round. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:10 am
  • Blown away by Carolina
Varlamov turned aside 32 of 37 shots Tuesday in a 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes in Game 5 of the Islanders' first-round series, with Carolina's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

Advice: With their season on the line, the Isles came out flat and were down 2-0 before the four-minute mark in the first period. While Varlamov played well enough to allow his team to rally and tie things up by the second intermission, the third period belonged to Carolina. The veteran netminder posted a 2.70 GAA and .914 save percentage in his five playoff appearances, numbers very similar to his 2.60 GAA and .918 save percentage during the regular season. Barring a trade, he'll return to man the crease in Long Island in 2024-25 alongside Ilya Sorokin. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:40 am
  • Recovering from quad tear
Johansson, who was previously listed as being out with a lower-body injury, sustained a quad tear March 30, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports Wednesday.

Advice: Johansson finished the campaign with a 12-7-5 record, 3.37 GAA and .890 save percentage across 26 regular-season appearances. He still has one season left on his two-year, $1.55 million contract, so the 28-year-old goaltender will likely remain on the Lightning roster in 2024-25 as the backup netminder behind Andrei Vasilevskiy. • Can't shake skid Tuesday
Hellebuyck stopped 26 of 31 shots in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5.

Advice: The Avalanche took over in the third period, leaving Hellebuyck with a fourth straight loss to end the Jets' playoff run after one round. The 30-year-old gave up 24 goals in five appearances in the playoffs, a dramatically worse performance than he showed with a 2.39 GAA and a .921 save percentage over 60 regular-season games. Hellebuyck was announced as a Vezina Trophy finalist this week for his regular-season work, but he'll likely want to forget the postseason quickly in preparation for 2024-25.
