  • Tending twine in Game 3
Shesterkin will defend the road net in Game 3 versus Florida on Sunday, according to Mollie Walker of the New York Post.

Advice: Shesterkin is coming off a 26-save performance in Friday's 2-1 overtime win over the Panthers in Game 2. He has earned a 9-3 record with a 2.22 GAA and a .926 save percentage across 12 starts this postseason. Rotowire.com Today, 11:44 am
  • Set to start Game 3
Bobrovsky will patrol the home crease Sunday in Game 3 against the Rangers, according to Steve Goldstein of Bally Sports Florida.

Advice: Bobrovsky is coming off a 28-save effort in Friday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Rangers in Game 2. He has posted a 9-4 record with one shutout, a 2.12 GAA and a .912 save percentage through 13 appearances this postseason. Rotowire.com Today, 9:26 am
  • Decent in loss
Skinner stopped 22 of 24 shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Stars in Game 2. The third goal was an empty-netter.

Advice: Skinner gave up a goal to Jamie Benn on a 2-on-1 in the first period, and Mason Marchment tipped in the game-winner in the third. It's tough to find much fault in Skinner's performance in his first loss in four starts, a span in which he's allowed a total of seven goals. The 25-year-old is 8-4 with a 2.65 GAA and an .890 save percentage over 12 playoff outings, though he's been better in recent games. Skinner will likely be between the pipes again for Monday's Game 3 in Edmonton. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:10 pm
  • Strong in Game 2 win
Oettinger stopped 28 of 29 shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Oilers in Game 2.

Advice: The Oilers dominated the first period but came away with just one goal from Connor Brown. Oettinger was dialed in the rest of the way, and the Stars were able to build and maintain a lead in the third. Oettinger still hasn't lost back-to-back games since the first two contests of the postseason. He's 9-6 with a 2.04 GAA and a .922 save percentage over 15 playoff contests and is a virtual lock to get the nod in Monday's Game 3 in Edmonton. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:46 pm
  • Inks one-year contract
Miner signed a one-year contract extension with the Avalanche on Tuesday.

Advice: Miner spent his time in the AHL and ECHL this season. He recorded an impressive .930 save percentage through 18 appearances during his time in the AHL as well as a .917 save percentage through 11 ECHL appearances. Alexandar Georgiev and Justus Annunen are both under contract through 2024-25, so Miner will likely spend most, if not all, of next season in the minors. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:44 am
  • Loses Game 7
Silovs allowed three goals on 29 shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.

Advice: Silovs took consecutive losses at the NHL level for the first time in his career, and it couldn't have come at a worse time for the Canucks. He allowed eight goals on 56 shots over Games 6 and 7. Overall, he went 5-5 in the playoffs, allowing 29 goals over 10 contests. It's not a particularly impressive body of work, but it's enough to think Silovs will enter 2024-25 as backup to Thatcher Demko (knee) if Casey DeSmith walks in free agency. Silovs will also need a new contract as a restricted free agent. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:24 pm
  • Ruled out for Game 7
Head coach Rick Tocchet said Saturday that Demko (knee) will not play in Monday's Game 7 versus the Oilers, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Demko was believed to have a chance to return during the second round, but this will eliminate that possibility. The Canucks will instead entrust either Arturs Silovs or Casey DeSmith in a must-win game with a trip to the Western Conference Finals on the line. Demko will have missed 12 straight contests after Monday, and there's been no indication at what point he might be available if the Canucks are able to extend their playoff run. • Recalled from minors
Poirier was summoned from AHL Texas on Saturday.

Advice: The 22-year-old netminder was 17-16-4 with a 3.19 GAA and a .904 save percentage in 38 games during the regular season. Poirier has yet to play a game at the NHL level. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:48 am
  • Takes double-overtime loss
Georgiev allowed two goals on 38 shots in Friday's 2-1 double-overtime loss to the Stars in Game 6.

Advice: The Avalanche caught a break in the first overtime when a potential Stars goal was overturned for goaltender interference. There would be no rescue for Georgiev after Matt Duchene came back to haunt one of his former teams with a tally 11:42 into the second overtime. Georgiev went 6-5 with a 2.85 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 11 playoff contests, numbers roughly in line with his regular-season performance. After playing 143 games between the regular season and playoffs over the last two years, the Avalanche may be motivated to make sure the 28-year-old sees a smaller workload in 2024-25, though he should still be the primary starter entering the final year of his current contract.
