      Barkov posted an assist, two shots on goal, three hits and a minus-2 rating in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Bruins in Game 1.

      Advice: Barkov forced a turnover and fed Matthew Tkachuk for the opening tally, but that was all the Panthers could produce against Jeremy Swayman. In addition to the helper, Barkov went 19-for-28 at the faceoff dot, which was a strength for the Panthers as a whole against a less experienced Boston center group than in years past.       Kreider logged two power-play assists and two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Hurricanes in Game 1.

      Advice: Kreider earned his first multi-point effort of the playoffs by helping out on first-period tallies by Mika Zibanejad and Vincent Trocheck. The 33-year-old Kreider has been solid in the postseason with five points, 10 shots on net, nine hits and a plus-1 rating over five contests.       Shesterkin stopped 22 of 25 shots in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Hurricanes in Game 1 of the second round.

      Advice: Shesterkin didn't show much rust despite getting a week off after the Rangers swept the Capitals in the first round. He's won seven starts in a row, and this was just the second time in that span he's given up more than two goals.       Pettersson logged an assist in Friday's 1-0 win over the Predators in Game 6.

      Advice: Pettersson failed to score a goal in the first round, and he's now gone nine contests without a tally. He showed some life with an assist in three of the last four games, but the Canucks will hope for a lot more from one of their top players entering a more difficult second-round matchup with the Oilers.       Saros stopped 28 of 29 shots in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Canucks in Game 6.

      Advice: Saros was excellent, going save for save with Arturs Silovs for nearly the whole game. Pius Suter had the breakthrough for the Canucks with 1:39 left in the third period, and that goal was the one to end the Predators' season. Despite a 2-4 record in the playoffs, Saros allowed just 12 goals on 120 shots over six contests, with Friday marking the first time he'd faced more than 21 shots in a game all series. The Finnish goalie is under contract for one more season at a $5 million cap hit, so it's possible his name could swirl in trade rumors if the Predators opt to shake things up.
