    • Tallies in loss
Necas scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 1.

Advice: Necas cut the deficit to one goal with a tally early in the third period. The 25-year-old forward is up to two goals, four assists, 11 shots on net and a minus-1 rating through six playoff outings. Necas has been held off the scoresheet only once this postseason, so he should provide consistent offense in a middle-six role during this second-round series. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:03 pm

    • Credited with goal in loss
Connor scored a goal on six shots in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 3.

Advice: Connor was awarded the Jets' first goal after a series of blunders led to the Avalanche putting the puck in their own net. The winger had three goals, two assists, 19 shots on net and a minus-4 rating over five playoff outings during the Jets' first-round exit. Connor has two years remaining on his contract and should continue to be a top-six force for the Jets in 2024-25. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:43 pm
    • Three-point effort in win
Rantanen scored twice on four shots, added an assist, went plus-4, logged three hits and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Jets in Game 5.

Advice: Rantanen finally buried a goal of his own after picking up seven helpers before scoring. His first tally in the third period was the game-winner, and he scored again a few minutes later. The 27-year-old has nine points, 14 shots on net, 13 hits, six blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over five playoff outings. He should continue to play in a top-line role heading into the second round. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:14 pm
    • Logs assist in Game 4 loss
Lauzon notched an assist, two shots on goal, six hits and two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks in Game 4.

Advice: Lauzon snapped a 13-game point drought when he set up Mark Jankowski's first-period tally. The 27-year-old Lauzon continues to play in a bottom-four role as a physical presence rather than a scoring threat. He has 19 hits, seven blocked shots and four PIM over four playoff contests after posting 14 points, 388 hits, 111 blocks and 98 PIM over 79 regular-season appearances. Rotowire.com Apr 28, 7:36 pm
    • Registers helper Sunday
O'Reilly produced an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks in Game 4.

Advice: O'Reilly got on the scoresheet for the first time since his Game 1 goal when he set up a Gustav Nyquist tally in the second period. The 33-year-old O'Reilly has added eight shots on net, three blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over four playoff contests. He remains in a top-line role, but the Predators will need more from him now that they're facing elimination. Rotowire.com Apr 28, 7:31 pm
    • Heating up in playoffs
Montour registered an assist and four blocked shots versus the Lightning in Game 4 on Saturday, but it wasn't enough, as the Panthers suffered a 6-3 loss.

Advice: After being held without a point in the first two games of the conference quarterfinals, Montour stacked a goal and two helpers between Game 3 and Game 4. The eighth-year defenseman has always had a high ceiling in terms of offensive potential, but there had been a fair number of detractors until Montour's eye-popping 73-point campaign surfaced in 2022-23. He had offseason shoulder surgery and missed the first 16 games of the recently completed regular season, leveling back down to a half-point-per game average. In this playoff series, Montour is averaging 23:26 of ice time with 2:27 on the man advantage. The Panthers will have another crack at eliminating the Lightning in Game 5 on Monday, this time on home ice. Rotowire.com Apr 28, 6:51 am
