Makar has been held off the scoresheet in the Avalanche's three losses in the second round, but he's earned five points in their two wins.       McAvoy scored a goal on six shots, dished an assist, blocked four shots, doled out three hits and added two PIM in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Panthers in Game 5.

      Advice: McAvoy had been held off the scoresheet for seven straight contests entering Tuesday. He helped out on Morgan Geekie's first-period tally before scoring the game-winning goal midway through the second. McAvoy has been limited to six points over 12 playoff outings, but he's added plenty of physicality with 52 hits, 33 blocked shots and 18 PIM.       Makar tallied a goal and two assists in Tuesday's 4-3 Game 1 overtime win over the Stars.

      Advice: Makar logged a pair of power-play points in the second period, setting up a Valeri Nichushkin marker before scoring later in the frame. Makar added a third point with another assist on Nathan MacKinnon's game-tying goal in the opening seconds of the third. The 25-year-old Makar has at least one point in all six of his postseason contests so far, totaling three goals and nine assists over that stretch.
