  • Lands on waivers
Gaunce was placed on waivers Sunday, per PuckPedia.

Advice: If he goes unclaimed, Gaunce will probably report to AHL Cleveland ahead of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against Hershey on Thursday. He picked up two goals and two assists in 24 NHL appearances with Columbus during the 2023-24 campaign. He also generated 19 goals and 39 points over 46 minor-league outings during the regular season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:30 pm
  • Puts up assist
Foegele logged an assist, two shots on goal, three hits and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Stars in Game 2.

Advice: Foegele snapped an 11-game point drought dating back to Game 2 of the first round. The 28-year-old winger has a steady spot in the lineup, but he's seen a smaller role amid his slump. He has three points, 20 shots on net, 28 hits and a minus-9 rating over 14 playoff appearances while primarily working in a third-line role. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:16 pm
  • Tallies in Game 2 win
Marchment scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Oilers in Game 2.

Advice: The goal snapped a three-game point drought for Marchment, and he found the back of the net for the first time since Game 1 of the first round versus Vegas. The 28-year-old winger has maintained a top-six role when healthy, though he missed six contests due to an undisclosed injury earlier in the postseason. Marchment is at four points, 19 shots on net, 38 hits and an even plus-minus rating over nine playoff outings, with his physicality being his best asset. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:53 pm
  • Hits unconditional waivers
Usau was placed on unconditional waivers by the Lightning on Saturday for the purpose of terminating his contract, according to CapFriendly.

Advice: Usau had seven goals and 14 points in 42 regular-season contests with AHL Syracuse in 2023-24. The 22-year-old was never drafted but signed a three-year, entry-level deal with Tampa Bay in March 2022. Should Usau clear waivers and get released, as is expected, he might return to the KHL. He scored nine goals and 26 points in 40 KHL outings with his hometown of Minsk in 2021-22. Rotowire.com Saturday, 1:51 pm
  • Among recalls Saturday
Othmann, Alex Belzile, Brett Berard, Anton Blidh, Ben Harpur, Dylan Garand, Jake Leschyshyn, Connor Mackey, Victor Mancini, Tyler Pitlick, Matthew Robertson, Brandon Scanlin and Adam Sykora were recalled from AHL Hartford on Saturday.

Advice: Hartford was eliminated in three straight games by Hershey on Wednesday in the AHL Atlantic Division Finals. Othmann earned one goal and five points in 10 minor-league postseason outings. He had 21 goals and 49 points in 67 regular-season games for the Wolf Pack in 2023-24. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:39 am
  • Set for shoulder surgery
Lehkonen is expected to undergo a shoulder procedure according to general manager Chris MacFarland, Brennan Vogt of The-Rink.com reports Thursday.

Advice: Lehkonen was red hot during the Avalanche's opening-round series against the Jets, scoring a goal in each of the five games, but he was relatively quiet against Dallas in the second round. In six games versus the Stars, the 28-year-old winger tallied just one goal to go with two assists and 14 shots. At this point, the expectation is that Lehkonen will be ready for the start of training camp in the fall. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:12 am
  • Not ready to retire
Landeskog (knee) will not be retiring and is focusing on returning for the 2024-25 campaign, Meghan Angley of DNVR Avalanche reports Thursday.

Advice: Landeskog's future was understandably in doubt considering he hasn't played in an NHL game since June of 2022. If given the all-clear ahead of next season, the 31-year-old winger should be in contention for a top-six role and should still be capable of putting up 25-30 goals as long as he's able to remain healthy.
