    • Helps out on power play
Kane notched a power-play assist and four hits in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Canucks in Game 3.

Advice: Kane hadn't posted a power-play point since March 23. The winger, who missed time late in the regular season due to a sports hernia, has four points, 21 shots on net, 30 hits and 15 PIM over eight playoff contests. He's primarily played in a middle-six role and on the second power-play unit, so his scoring contributions are likely to remain limited to a supporting level. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:37 pm
    • Solid outing in loss
Swayman made 38 saves on 41 shots in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 4.

Advice: Swayman was stellar Sunday night but it wasn't enough as Boston was heavily outplayed by Florida in the loss. The 25-year-old netminder was provided a two-goal lead in the first period before the Panthers scored three unanswered goals over the final two frames. Swayman and the Bruins find themselves on the brink of elimination heading back to Florida for Game 5 on Tuesday. Overall this postseason, the Boston goaltender has a 5-5 record with a 2.28 GAA and a .931 save percentage. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:35 pm
    • Guarding cage Sunday
Swayman will get the starting nod at home against the Panthers for Game 4 on Sunday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Swayman has been plastered with nine goals on 55 shots over the last two games but it hasn't been enough for Boston to flip back to Linus Ullmark. This will mark nine straight starts for Swayman dating back to the first round against Toronto. During his last eight games, he's posted a .925 save percentage while picking up four wins. • Takes first playoff loss
Shesterkin allowed four goals on 31 shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes in Game 4.

Advice: The defeat snapped Shesterkin's nine-game winning streak, which included the first seven contests of the Rangers' playoff run. He allowed three goals in the first period, and while the Rangers covered that damage, Brady Skjei's power-play tally late in the third was decisive. Shesterkin also hadn't allowed more than three goals in any of his last 14 appearances dating back to March 28. The 28-year-old has been exceptional so far, but a few bumps in the road can be expected in the postseason. Look for him to be back between the pipes on home ice in Monday's Game 5. • Set to start Saturday
Shesterkin will start on the road against Carolina in Game 4 on Saturday, per Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer

Advice: Shesterkin will aim to earn his eighth straight victory to open the 2024 playoffs. He's posted a 2.01 GAA and a .935 save percentage across his first seven postseason wins this year. Although the Rangers have an opportunity to complete the second-round sweep of Carolina, the Hurricanes have kept things close, forcing the last two contests to go to overtime while firing a combined 104 shots on Shesterkin over that span. As a result, it wouldn't be surprising to see the 28-year-old netminder challenged often with the Hurricanes' playoff hopes on the line. Rotowire.com Saturday, 3:33 pm
    • Assist in return to lineup
Bennett (upper body) produced a primary assist in his return to the lineup in Friday's 6-2 Game 3 win over Boston.

Advice: Bennett's return to the lineup paid immediate dividends for the Panthers -- the second-line center registered an assist on Vladimir Tarasenko's goal late in the second period. The 27-year-old Bennett also threw seven hits in 12:43 of ice time. Bennett's ice time will likely increase in the coming games as he readjusts to the pace of playoff hockey. Overall this postseason, Bennett has one goal and two assists in three games. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:32 pm
    • Suffers loss in Game 3
Swayman made 27 saves on 32 shots in Friday's 6-2 home loss to the Panthers.

Advice: It was a tough outing for Swayman, and the Bruins were heavily outplayed by the Panthers for a large portion of the tilt. There wasn't much help in front of the Bruins netminder -- Florida almost doubled up Boston in shots on goal. Swayman has now allowed nine goals in his last two outings combined, so it's possible the Bruins will turn to Linus Ullmark in net for Game 4 on Sunday. Overall this postseason, Swayman is 5-4 with a 2.19 GAA and a .931 save percentage. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:50 pm
    • Good to go Friday
Bennett (upper body) will return to the lineup for Friday's Game 3 against the Bruins, Katie Engleson of Bally Sports Florida reports.

Advice: Bennett was injured during Game 2 against the Lightning last round and went on to miss five straight games. He'll slide back into a top-six role alongside Carter Verhaeghe and Matthew Tkachuk on Friday. After scoring 20 goals and 41 points in the regular season, Bennett has two points through two playoff appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:45 pm
    • Tending twine Friday
Swayman will get the starting nod for Game 3 at home against the Panthers on Friday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: After stopping 38 shots in a dominant Game 1 victory, Swayman couldn't make it through the entirety of Game 2 against Florida. He was yanked after coughing up four goals on 23 shots. Still, the Bruins will go back to him for an eighth consecutive game. Over his last seven contests, Swayman has gone 4-3-0 despite registering a terrific .937 save percentage over that span.
