    • Back on scoresheet in win
Trocheck had a goal and an assist in Thursday's 5-3 win over Carolina in Game 6.

Advice: Trocheck was back to his usual form after a brief hiatus from the scoresheet in consecutive contests prior to Game 6. The second-line center deflected a shot from Artemi Panarin past Carolina's Frederik Andersen to give the Rangers life early in the second period after being down two goals. Trocheck would add a secondary assist on Chris Kreider's game-tying power-play marker in the third period. Trocheck also had three shots on net, four hits and a plus-1 rating in 23:14 of ice time. After setting a career high during the regular season with 77 points in 82 games, the 30-year-old center is up to six goals and eight assists in 10 contests this postseason. • Held off scoresheet in loss
Trocheck failed to register a point in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Hurricanes in Game 5.

Advice: After starting the postseason with a seven-game scoring streak, Trocheck has now been held without a point in back-to-back games. The 30-year-old forward did have three shots on net, one blocked shot and six hits in 21:58 of ice time. That amount of ice time was the most of any skater in the contest, which highlights the level of trust coach Peter Laviolette has in utilizing his second-line center in all situations. Trocheck has five goals and seven assists with a minus-1 rating in nine appearances this postseason. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:49 am
    • Goal and assist in win
Necas scored a goal and added an assist in Monday's 4-1 victory over the Rangers in Game 5.

Advice: Necas had a secondary helper on Jordan Martinook's third-period tally before scoring an empty-net goal in Monday's win. It's the first time since Game 1 of Carolina's first-round series against the Islanders that Necas has registered two points in a game. The 25-year-old forward also had two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in 15:56 of ice time. Necas is up to three goals and five assists in 10 contests this postseason. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:07 am
