    • Deposits empty-netter
DeBrusk scored an empty-net goal on three shots and added four hits in Monday's 5-1 win over the Panthers in Game 1.

Advice: DeBrusk was able to find the empty cage to finish off Monday's tone-setting victory to begin the second round. The 27-year-old was also strong early in the first round with five points over the first three games against the Maple Leafs, but he was held off the scoresheet in the final four contests. DeBrusk typically won't have the most consistent offense, but he's in a position to succeed in a top-line role. The winger has added 32 hits, 19 shots on net and a minus-3 rating over eight playoff outings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:59 pm

    • Two power-play points Sunday
Trocheck scored a goal on three shots, added an assist, blocked two shots and logged two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Hurricanes in Game 1.

Advice: Both of Trocheck's points came on the power play as the Rangers opened a 3-1 lead in the first period. The 30-year-old center has found his game in the postseason with four goals and four assists over five outings. Trocheck continues to play on the second line at even strength, and he's also on the top power-play unit, where he's earned five of his eight points during the playoffs. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:47 pm
    • Key role in Game 7 win
Lindholm scored a goal on six shots and added an assist in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Maple Leafs in Game 7.

Advice: Lindholm's tally in the third period provided a quick response to William Nylander's opening goal. In overtime, Lindholm dumped in a pass that caromed perfectly off the boards to David Pastrnak, who deked around Ilya Samsonov for the series-clinching goal. Lindholm concludes the first round with four points, 12 shots on net, six hits, 10 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over seven appearances. He'll continue to see top-four minutes and will likely be tasked with a shutdown role in the second round against the Panthers. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:59 pm
    • Nets power-play goal
Josi scored a power-play goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Canucks in Game 5.

Advice: Josi has a goal, two assists, nine shots on net, 10 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through five playoff contests. His tally Tuesday tied the game at 1-1. Josi's offense has been a little limited during the playoffs compared to his 85-point regular season, but he should continue to play with urgency as the Predators look to stave off elimination two more times in the first round. • Finds twine Tuesday
Toffoli scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5.

Advice: Toffoli's goal tied the game at 3-3 early in the third period, but the Jets weren't able to score again after that. The winger had two goals, eight shots on net, eight hits and a minus-2 rating over five playoff appearances. Toffoli posted 55 points, 229 shots, 75 hits and a minus-6 rating over 79 regular-season appearances between the Jets and the Devils this year. He is one of two unrestricted free agents among the Jets' forwards, and given his lack of playoff performance, he may be looking for a new home in the offseason. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:48 pm
    • Scores lone goal in Game 5 loss
Hedman scored a goal on six shots, added four hits and blocked three shots in Monday's 6-1 loss to the Panthers in Game 5.

Advice: Hedman put the Lightning on the board in the second period, but they couldn't build any momentum. The 33-year-old did his part in the Lightning's first-round exit, racking up seven points, 15 shots on net, 13 hits, nine blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over five contests. Hedman will be in the last season of his eight-year contract extension in 2024-25, but he should at least begin the campaign in his usual role as the Lightning's top blueliner. • Nets power-play marker
Trocheck scored a power-play goal on three shots and added three hits in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Capitals in Game 4.

Advice: Trocheck scored late in the first period to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead. The 30-year-old wrapped up the first round with three goals, three assists, three power-play points, nine shots on net, 13 hits and a plus-2 rating over four contests. Trocheck is locked in as the second-line center and should continue to be a strong source of offense throughout the postseason. Rotowire.com Apr 28, 8:12 pm
    • Manages assist in loss
Josi posted an assist in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks in Game 4.

Advice: Josi has two helpers over four playoff contests after closing out the regular season with 24 points over his last 20 games. The 33-year-old has maintained his top-pairing role, contributing eight blocked shots, three hits and six shots on net. Josi will need to step up at both ends of the ice if the Predators are to stave off elimination in Tuesday's Game 5. Rotowire.com Apr 28, 7:29 pm

    • Two goals help extend campaign
Stamkos deposited two goals, including a power-play tally, in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Panthers to stave off elimination in Game 4 of the conference quarterfinals.

Advice: After receiving an incredible backhand feed from Brayden Point for the game's first goal, Stamkos ripped one of his patented wrist shots past Sergei Bobrovsky to put the Lightning up 5-3 at 9:34 in the third period. The performance gave the electrifying forward 50 playoff goals for his career, and 101 postseason points. Stamkos has five goals and an assist in this first-round series, and his impressive showing Saturday left the door open for more playoff action for the Bolts. Game 5 is set for Monday.
