    • Back in net Sunday
Skinner will guard the road cage Sunday in Game 4 against the Kings, Oilers play-by-by announcer Jack Michaels reports.

Advice: Skinner is coming off a 27-save performance in a 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3 as the Oilers took a 2-1 series lead. The 25-year-old netminder has an .890 save percentage through the first three games in the postseason. Rotowire.com Today, 11:31 am
    • Starting Sunday
Rittich will guard the home net Sunday in Game 4 against the Oilers, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Advice: The Kings will turn to Rittich in net for Game 4 after Cam Talbot struggled to an .861 save percentage through the first three games in the series. While Rittich took a back seat to Talbot down the stretch, Rittich had a solid regular season, going 13-6-3 with a career-best .921 save percentage and 2.15 GAA. Rotowire.com Today, 11:19 am
    • Heating up in playoffs
Montour registered an assist and four blocked shots versus the Lightning in Game 4 on Saturday, but it wasn't enough, as the Panthers suffered a 6-3 loss.

Advice: After being held without a point in the first two games of the conference quarterfinals, Montour stacked a goal and two helpers between Game 3 and Game 4. The eighth-year defenseman has always had a high ceiling in terms of offensive potential, but there had been a fair number of detractors until Montour's eye-popping 73-point campaign surfaced in 2022-23. He had offseason shoulder surgery and missed the first 16 games of the recently completed regular season, leveling back down to a half-point-per game average. In this playoff series, Montour is averaging 23:26 of ice time with 2:27 on the man advantage. The Panthers will have another crack at eliminating the Lightning in Game 5 on Monday, this time on home ice. Rotowire.com Today, 6:51 am
    • Three helpers in Saturday's win
Kucherov recorded three assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Panthers in Game 4.

Advice: Two of the helpers came in the third period as the Lightning put the game away. Kucherov is still looking for his first goal of the postseason, but he's found the scoresheet in all four contests so far while collecting six assists. He may need to come up big again in Game 5 on Monday if Tampa Bay is going to avoid elimination again. Rotowire.com Today, 6:39 am
    • Adds helper in overtime loss
Stephenson recorded an assist, two hits, three blocked shots and two PIM in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars in Game 3.

Advice: Stephenson moved to center on the second line Saturday after previously playing on the wing. The move didn't pay off for Vegas, but Stephenson was able to chip in the lone helper on Brayden McNabb's second-period tally. That assist was Stephenson's first point in three playoff games to go with four shots on net, seven hits, three blocked shots and a minus-2 rating. He should continue to fill a middle-six role. • Nets 20th career playoff goal
Carlson was the lone scorer for the Capitals in Friday's 3-1 Game 3 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Carlson opened the scoring with a fluttering shot that eluded Igor Shesterkin, but the lead was short-lived as the Blueshirts countered with two goals of their own in the first period, followed by a power-play insurance tally in the second frame. The venerable defenseman is up to 20 goals and 75 total points through 126 career playoff games, but being down 3-0 in the series, the Capitals need goals any way they can get them. • Steady in Game 3 win
Skinner stopped 27 of 28 shots in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Advice: Skinner turned in the first good goaltending performance on either side in this series, though he also had plenty of support from his offense. He's allowed 10 goals on 91 shots through three games, but the Oilers have scored 17 times to establish a 2-1 series lead. Skinner continues to hold the starting job, and he'll presumably get the chance to try to strengthen Edmonton's position in Sunday's Game 4. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:20 pm
    • Tending twine Friday
Skinner will get the starting nod for Game 3 in Los Angeles on Friday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Advice: Skinner has struggled so far this postseason, coughing up nine goals on 63 shots in two games. Including his final start of the regular season, he's gone 1-2-0 with an unsightly .829 save percentage over his last three outings. Skinner went 13-10-2 with an .894 save percentage and a 2.80 GAA in 27 road appearances during the regular season, so it'll be interesting to see how he'll perform in a hostile environment Friday. • Two-point effort in Game 3
Montour produced a goal and an assist Thursday in a 5-3 win over the Lightning in Game 3 of the Panthers' first-round series.

Advice: Both points came in the second period as Florida took a 3-2 lead it wouldn't relinquish, and they were Montour's first of the postseason. The 30-year-old blueliner ended the regular season in a slump, managing only two points (both goals) over the last 11 contests, but Thursday's performance might be a sign he's heating up.
