      Pettersson logged an assist in Friday's 1-0 win over the Predators in Game 6.

      Advice: Pettersson failed to score a goal in the first round, and he's now gone nine contests without a tally. He showed some life with an assist in three of the last four games, but the Canucks will hope for a lot more from one of their top players entering a more difficult second-round matchup with the Oilers.       McAvoy delivered 11 hits Thursday in a 2-1 loss to Toronto in Game 6.

      Advice: McAvoy may be adding some physicality to the lineup with his hits but he's stuck in a nine-game goal drought. The defenseman did notch five helpers, including three with the man advantage, over that stretch. Still, the Bruins have managed just two goals in their last two games and will likely need more offensive output to come out on top in Game 7 versus the Maple Leafs on Saturday.       Makar logged an assist, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Jets in Game 5.

      Advice: Makar was briefly rattled by a hit in the third period, but he was able to finish the contest. The 25-year-old defenseman had two goals, seven assists, 16 shots on net, 12 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over five games in the first round. The 27-year-old has nine points, 14 shots on net, 13 hits, six blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over five playoff outings.       Advice: Makar has points in six straight games, racking up a combined three goals and eight assists, including five power-play points. During the regular season, the defenseman notched a career-high 90 points but still finished second behind Quinn Hughes for the NHL lead among blueliners. If the Avalanche make a deep run into the postseason, Makar could be in contention for the Conn Smythe trophy, especially if he continues to produce at this level.       Pettersson notched an assist in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Predators in Game 4.

      Advice: Pettersson helped out on Brock Boeser's game-tying goal with eight seconds left in the third period. The 25-year-old Pettersson has a helper in each of the last two contests. He's added six hits, five blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over four playoff outings -- struggles that have seen him lose ice time to J.T. Miller in the top six. Pettersson remains in a position to put offense on the board, but he needs to start cashing in a bit more to be useful to fantasy managers in playoff competitions.
