    • Adds three helpers in win
Hedman supplied three assists -- including one on the power play -- in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Panthers in Game 4 of the conference quarterfinals.

Advice: Hedman was held off the scoresheet in the series opener but he's since emerged with six helpers, and the power-play quarterback's vintage Game 4 performance helped the Lightning avoid a series sweep. A two-time Stanley Cup champion whose 15-year career has been spent exclusively with Tampa Bay, Hedman should continue to be a major factor as long as his team can keep adding games to its postseason schedule. • Logs power-play helper
Makar notched a power-play assist, five shots on goal and two blocked shots in Friday's 6-2 win over the Jets in Game 3.

Advice: Makar has a goal, five assists, 11 shots on net and eight blocked shots through three playoff contests. He's on a five-game point streak as well, with nine points in that span, including four on the power play. Makar's roles on the top pairing and first power-play unit see him logging a ton of ice time, so there's no reason to think his offense will drop off much during the postseason. • Collects pair of points
Toews scored a shorthanded empty-net goal on two shots and added an assist in Friday's 6-2 win over the Jets in Game 3.

Advice: Toews earned his first multi-point effort in six games. The defenseman helped out on an Artturi Lehkonen tally in the third period before depositing the empty-netter. In addition to three points, Toews has three shots on net, seven hits, four blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through three playoff contests. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:20 pm
    • Two helpers in OT loss
Hedman picked up two assists, one on the power play, in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Panthers in Game 2 on Tuesday.

Advice: All of Tampa Bay's scoring came in the first six minutes of the second period, as the team was otherwise stifled by Sergei Bobrovsky. Hedman had managed only one multi-point performance in the prior 15 games, including Game 1, but he'd been a consistent contributor with a goal and 10 points over that span. The Bolts may need the 33-year-old blueliner to find another gear in order to have a chance to bounce back from an 0-2 deficit in the series. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:33 am
    • Picks up assist in Game 2 win
Toews logged an assist, three hits, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Avalanche in Game 2.

Advice: Toews is on an 11-game goal drought, but he's managed six helpers in that span. The 30-year-old defenseman reached the 50-point mark for the third year in a row in the regular season, adding 159 shots on net, 74 hits, 110 blocked shots and a plus-28 rating over 82 appearances. Toews remains in a top-pairing role, and while he won't put up Cale Makar-like numbers on offense, he's still a solid part of the Avalanche's depth scoring. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:30 pm
    • Dishes pair of assists
Makar registered two assists, two shots on goal and four blocked shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Jets in Game 2.

Advice: Makar set up Artturi Lehkonen's game-tying tally in the second period and Valeri Nichushkin's empty-netter in the third. With five points over two playoff contests, Makar is already showing off his talents in the postseason. He also has six blocked shots and six shots on net while playing in his usual top-pairing role. • Logs helper Sunday
Josi posted an assist in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Canucks in Game 1.

Advice: Josi has earned 10 points over his last nine outings. The defenseman set up Jason Zucker's first-period tally in Sunday's contest. Josi had another excellent regular season with 23 goals and 85 points over 82 appearances, and he added 268 shots on net, 151 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating. He'll fill a workhorse role as the Predators' top defenseman during the playoffs. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:06 pm

    • Leads team with three points
Makar scored a power-play goal on four shots, dished two assists and blocked two shots in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Jets in Game 1.

Advice: Makar and the Avalanche's top players were generally solid, but it wasn't enough to overcome a poor performance in goal from Alexandar Georgiev. Over the last nine games of the regular season, Makar had 12 points, and he continues to play excellently in all zones. The 25-year-old posted a career-best 90 points with 231 shots on net and 148 blocked shots over 77 outings in 2023-24. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:21 pm
    • Back at practice Friday
Hedman (illness) returned to practice Friday, per Gabby Shirley of Bally Sports Florida.

Advice: Hedman had another terrific regular season, scoring 13 goals and adding 63 assists. The Lightning's top blueliner had one assist in each of Tampa Bay's three games versus Florida, the team's first-round playoff opponent, this season. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:32 am
