    • Helps out on power play
Benn earned a power-play assist and levied seven hits in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 2.

Advice: Benn has two points, seven shots on net and 11 hits through two playoff contests. The 34-year-old is no stranger to physical play, and his offense hasn't been the problem in the first round -- the Stars have been a little leaky defensively while losing the first two games of the series. Benn has plenty of postseason experience and should be leaned on to lead the team, both with offense and in the locker room. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:31 pm

    • Converts on breakaway
Benn scored a goal on seven shots and added three hits in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 1.

Advice: Benn got loose on a breakaway sprung by Wyatt Johnston's pass, and it resulted in the Stars' first goal of the game. The 34-year-old Benn had 21 goals, 39 helpers, 164 shots on net and 110 hits in another solid regular season despite seeing regular third-line usage. He'll continue in that role in the postseason while seeing time on the top power-play unit, where he earned 22 of his 60 points during the regular season. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:44 pm

    • Starts playoffs with goal
Kreider scored the final goal in Sunday's 4-1 Game 1 win over the Capitals.

Advice: Kreider opened the postseason doing what he's consistently done over the Rangers' last two playoff runs. Since the start of the 2022 playoffs, Kreider has 17 goals and 26 points through 28 games. Sunday's game got chippy, and if the series stays that way and penalties begin to mount, Kreider could become a significant factor as a key piece of the Rangers' top power-play unit. He was sixth in the NHL with 18 power-play goals this season. Since the start of the 2019-20 season, he is tied for third in power-play goals with 72, sitting behind only Leon Draisaitl and Sam Reinhart. Sunday's third-period marker came at even strength, though. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:15 pm
    • Ends career year with hat trick
Vatrano recorded a hat trick in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Golden Knights.

Advice: Vatrano opened the scoring with a power-play tally in the second period. He then added an even-strength goal and a shorthanded empty-netter to finish the hat trick in the third. It's a fitting finish to the campaign for the 30-year-old, who broke out in a big way this season with 37 goals and 60 points over 82 contests. He added 272 shots on net, 156 hits, 78 blocked shots, 85 PIM and a minus-20 rating. Vatrano figures to be a veteran leader and mentor for the Ducks in 2024-25, the final year of his current three-year contract. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:51 pm
