    • Falters in Game 1
Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 28 shots in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Bruins in Game 1 of the second round. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.

Advice: Bobrovsky was excellent for the first half of the game, but the Bruins got to him three times in 6:47 late in the second period and never looked back. The 35-year-old goalie has allowed 18 goals over six postseason appearances, going 4-2 in those contests. The Lightning never presented a sustained challenge in the first round, but the Bruins look stronger, which could make this a tough series if Bobrovsky can't shake off this loss. Game 2 is Wednesday in Florida. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:27 pm
    • Contributes helper in win
Coyle logged an assist, seven hits, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 5-1 win over the Panthers in Game 1.

Advice: Coyle set up Brandon Carlo's tally late in the second period. The 32-year-old Coyle has been a bit quiet on offense during the playoffs, though that hasn't prevented him from being a physical force in a top-six role. The center has three assists, 13 shots on net, 34 hits, 16 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating this postseason. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:15 pm
    • First off ahead of Game 1
Bobrovsky was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports, indicating he will patrol the home crease in Game 1 against Boston on Monday.

Advice: Bobrovsky surrendered 14 goals on 135 shots against the Lightning en route to a 4-1 record in the first round of the playoffs. He went 0-2-2 against Boston during the 2023-24 regular season, allowing 13 goals on 101 shots. The Bruins rank ninth overall with 2.57 goals per contest this postseason. Boston also sits fourth in power-play percentage after scoring six times on 17 opportunities in the opening round versus Toronto. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:58 am
    • Notches assist in win
Fox logged an assist, two blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Hurricanes in Game 1.

Advice: Fox has a helper in each of the last three games after he was held off the scoresheet in the first two contests of the playoffs. The defenseman has added four shots on net, 15 blocked shots, five hits and a plus-2 rating. Fox will see a heavy workload on the Rangers' top pairing and first power-play unit, but he may have to focus more on defense since the Hurricanes boast a strong top six. • Earns series-clinching win
Skinner stopped 18 of 21 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 Game 4 victory over Los Angeles.

Advice: It wasn't the busiest game for Skinner, but the 25-year-old netminder did just enough for the one-goal win as the Oilers took the series 4-1. After allowing nine goals on 63 shots in his first two games of the series, Skinner looked better in his last three contests, posting a .951 save percentage. Edmonton will now get a few days off before they face the winner of the Vancouver-Nashville series in the second round. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:10 am
    • Set to face Kings
Skinner is expected to start at home against LA in Game 5 on Wednesday, per Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton.

Advice: Skinner earned a 33-save shutout over the Kings in Game 4 on Sunday, and he's stopped 60 of 61 shots (.984 save percentage) over his last two starts. That gives him a 3-1 record, 2.48 GAA and .919 save percentage in four playoff contests this year. The 25-year-old was streaky in the regular season, finishing with a 36-16-5 record, 2.62 GAA and .905 save percentage in 59 appearances, but Skinner seems to be on a roll with a chance to eliminate the Kings up for grabs. • Takes loss Monday
Thompson stopped 28 of 31 shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Stars in Game 4. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Advice: Thompson has now lost back-to-back starts, though it's hardly his fault after putting in solid efforts. The 27-year-old has given up 10 goals on 127 shots through four playoff contests. Thompson's status as the starting goalie in the playoffs could come into question if he doesn't get back into the win column soon, but it's unclear if head coach Bruce Cassidy will stay the course or turn to Adin Hill for Game 5 on Wednesday. • Adds assist in loss
Kucherov posted an assist and two hits in Monday's 6-1 loss to the Panthers in Game 5.

Advice: Kucherov stayed hot in the postseason with seven assists over five games, but he wasn't able to put a puck past Sergei Bobrovsky. The 30-year-old Kucherov had an excellent 2023-24 season despite the early playoff exit, earning 44 goals and 100 assists in 81 regular-season appearances. He should continue to be one of the top right wings in the NHL heading into 2024-25. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:46 pm
    • Secures series win
Bobrovsky stopped 31 of 32 shots in Monday's 6-1 win over the Lightning in Game 5.

Advice: Bobrovsky secured a 4-1 series win in the first round with Monday's strong showing. The 35-year-old has given up 14 goals over five playoffs contests, though six of them came in his lone loss in Game 4. The Panthers will have a little extra time off ahead of the second round, where they'll face either the Bruins or the Maple Leafs. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:57 pm
