    • Expected to start Friday
Hill is set to start at home against Dallas in Game 6 on Friday, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic.

Advice: Hill will get a second straight start after saving 22 of 25 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Stars in Game 5 on Wednesday. He had a 19-12-2 record, 2.71 GAA and .909 save percentage in 35 regular-season outings. Vegas needs to earn a win against Dallas, which has scored 2.80 goals per contest in the playoffs this year, to avoid elimination. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:39 am
    • Not at practice Friday
Drouin (lower body) is still absent from practice Friday, Brennan Vogt of The-Rink.com reports.

Advice: Drouin missed all five games of the opening round versus Winnipeg and has yet to make an appearance at practice during the postseason. The 29-year-old had his best offensive season as an NHLer in 2023-24, picking up 56 points in 73 games, including 19 points on the power play. Drouin saw plenty of time on the top line alongside Nathan MacKinnon during the regular season. Look for Valeri Nichushkin, who had seven goals in five games during the first round, to remain on the top line until Drouin is ready to return. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:40 am
    • Dishes pair of helpers
Rielly recorded two assists, four hits and five blocked shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Bruins in Game 6.

Advice: Rielly helped out on both of William Nylander's goals in the game. Through six playoff outings, Rielly has three assists, 15 shots on net, 16 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating. The 30-year-old defenseman continues to see significant minutes on the top pairing, but he hasn't been as efficient on offense as he was during the regular season. Rielly had 58 points and 173 shots on goal over 72 regular-season contests. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:50 pm
    • Bags two apples Wednesday
Johnston earned a pair of assists in a 3-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 5 on Wednesday.

Advice: Johnston has been fantastic in the postseason, racking up three goals and three assists, including two power-play points, in five contests. The 20-year-old center avoided the sophomore slump during the regular season, setting new personal bests in goals (32), assists (33) and shots (216). Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:34 am
    • Remains day-to-day
Schenn (illness) is considered day-to-day ahead of Game 6 against the Canucks on Friday, Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean reports.

Advice: Schenn's status may not be determined until closer to puck drop Friday but the Preds recalled Kevin Gravel from AHL Milwaukee just in case. The 34-year-old Schenn isn't exactly an offensive dynamo considering he is goalless in his last 31 contests during which he generated a lone helper. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:16 am
    • Three helpers in Game 5
Bouchard grabbed three assists in Wednesday's 4-3 Game 5 win over the Kings.

Advice: Bouchard set up all three of Edmonton's second-period goals, including a Leon Draisaitl marker on the power-play, in the 4-3 series-clinching victory. The 24-year-old Bouchard has nine points (one goal, eight assists) through five games in the playoffs, tying Cale Makar for most among defensemen. Bouchard had a breakout regular season, tallying 18 goals and 82 points, both career highs, across 81 games. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:28 am
    • Falls to Dallas in Game 5
Hill made 22 saves Wednesday in a 3-2 loss to the Stars in Game 5 of the Golden Knights' first-round series.

Advice: Two of Dallas' goals came on power plays, including Jason Robertson's game-winner in the second period, and Hill had little chance on the other in his first action so far this postseason. After taking a 2-0 lead in the series, Vegas has lost three straight games and will face elimination on home ice Friday. It's not clear whether Hill will be back between the pipes for Game 6 with the season on the line, or if coach Bruce Cassidy will turn back to Logan Thompson. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:48 am
    • Exits ice first Wednesday
Hill was the first goalie to leave the ice Wednesday and is expected to get the starting nod on the road against the Stars in Game 5 on Wednesday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Advice: Hill will step into the crease for the first time in the postseason after Logan Thompson gave up six goals on 77 shots (.922 save percentage) in a pair of defeats to Dallas in Games 3 and 4. The 27-year-old Hill has played in only three of the Knights' last 16 contests, registering a 1-2-0 record and 3.68 GAA. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:09 am
    • Still not skating
Drouin (lower body) has yet to resume skating with the team but could still return during the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Coach Jared Bednar told reporters Wednesday, "Yeah. It fits the timeline. He's got a long way to go yet, (Drouin), because he hasn't hit the ice yet, right? He's still working on his rehab. The timeline was four weeks or less. We're still hoping for that. He's making progress, there's no question, so I'm hoping that he can get back. We'll see how long that other series goes and how much time we have," per Kyle Fredrickson of The Denver Gazette.

Advice: Drouin has already been out of action for approximately two weeks. Prior to getting hurt, the 29-year-old center was stuck in a four-game goal drought during which he recorded three helpers, six shots and three blocks while averaging 19:01 of ice time. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:13 am
