• Won't play Friday
Trenin (upper body) will not be in the lineup for Game 6 versus Dallas on Friday. Coach Jared Bednar told reporters, "He won't be available tonight. He's on the shelf for tonight's game. Still classify him as day-to-day," per Kyle Fredrickson of The Denver Gazette.

Advice: Trenin has produced just one point in 10 postseason contests, so his absence from the lineup is unlikely to have a significant impact on fantasy players. Without Trenin in the lineup, the Avs will likely turn to Chris Wagner to fill a fourth-line center role, though Fredrik Olofsson could also be in the mix. Rotowire.com Today, 10:18 am
  • Has bad turnover in loss
Orlov supplied a secondary assist in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 6.

Advice: Orlov got on the board by helping out on a Martin Necas first-period tally that opened the scoring. It was the fifth time in six games this series that Orlov registered at least one point. The Russian defenseman also had one shot on goal and six blocks with a minus-1 rating in 19:01 of ice time. Unfortunately for the 32-year-old, he had an egregious turnover in which he failed to clear the defensive zone -- it led directly to a New York goal shortly after Carolina garnered a 2-0 lead early in the second period. Orlov finished the postseason with two goals and four assists in 11 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 10:15 am
  • Pens three-year contract
MacDermid agreed to terms on a three-year, $3.45 million contract with New Jersey on Friday.

Advice: MacDermid will remain with the Devils after joining the club at the trade deadline this last season. In his 16 appearances for the club, the 30-year-old winger managed just one point to go with 29 hits, two blocks and 50 PIM. The decision to give MacDermid a three-year deal does seem a little surprising when you consider he averaged a meager 4:22 of ice time. Looking ahead to next season, MacDermid probably shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of fantasy value given his limited minutes and lack of offensive upside. Rotowire.com Today, 7:09 am
  • Gets on scoresheet with assist
Desharnais registered an assist, three hits and four blocked shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Canucks in Game 5.

Advice: The helper was Desharnais' first point since a two-assist game versus the Ducks on March 30. The 27-year-old defenseman has added 27 hits, 26 blocks, three shots on net and a minus-4 rating over 10 playoff appearances. He continues to play in a bottom-four role as a physical presence, so his lack of production typically won't have an impact on fantasy competitions. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:12 pm
  • Puts up helper
Brown logged an assist in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Canucks in Game 5.

Advice: The helper was Brown's first point in four playoff contests, and he's added two hits and a plus-1 rating. The 30-year-old has been limited to fourth-line minutes, which has given him few chances to contribute. Brown could be at risk of losing his spot in the lineup once Adam Henrique (ankle) is able to return. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:10 pm
  • Regsiters helper Thursday
Kulak produced an assist, three blocked shots and two PIM in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Canucks in Game 5.

Advice: Kulak is up to three points over 10 playoff contests after helping out on a Mattias Janmark tally in the first period. The 30-year-old Kulak has provided steady defense from a third-pairing role, adding 17 blocked shots, 13 hits and a plus-1 rating. He's a staple in the lineup, but he rarely contributes much in the way of fantasy-relevant production. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:06 pm
  • Finds twine in Game 5
Janmark scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Canucks.

Advice: Janmark snapped a seven-game point drought with his first-period tally. The 31-year-old forward remains in a fourth-line role, so it's not unusual to see him go long stretches without offense since the Oilers lean heavily on their top players. Through 10 playoff outings, Janmark has a goal, two assists, seven shots on net, 10 hits and a plus-2 rating. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:02 pm
  • Stays warm with assist
Lindholm notched an assist, three shots on goal and three hits in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5.

Advice: Lindholm has points in three straight contests and six points over five second-round appearances versus the Oilers. His assist Thursday was timely, as it set up J.T. Miller for the game-winning goal with 33 seconds left in the third period. Lindholm has produced nine points, 22 shots on net, 30 hits and a plus-3 rating over 11 playoff outings. He has spent much of the postseason on the third line, but he was moved up to the second line in an effort to support the slumping Elias Pettersson, who shifted to the wing. • Scores in return to lineup
Di Giuseppe scored a goal on three shots, added four hits and went plus-2 in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5.

Advice: Di Giuseppe had missed the last two contests while with his growing family as he welcomed a son into the world. The 30-year-old was clearly inspired, as he scored off a turnover in the second period for his first career playoff goal. The forward has two points, five shots on net, 30 hits and a plus-2 rating over nine playoff appearances, though he's been limited to bottom-six minutes. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:50 pm
