• Supplies two helpers in defeat
Svechnikov registered two assists in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 6.

Advice: Svechnikov had a secondary assist on the power play and a primary helper at even strength in Thursday's defeat. The 24-year-old added one shot, one block, four hits and a minus-1 rating in 19:04 of ice time. The Russian forward did have six points in as many games this series, but he found the back of the net only once. He finished the postseason with 11 points in 11 contests. Svechnikov has five years remaining on his current contract heading into the offseason. Rotowire.com Today, 10:13 am
  • Snags helper
Pettersson recorded an assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5.

Advice: Pettersson was held off the scoresheet in the previous two games, and he nearly came up empty Thursday as well. The 25-year-old was able to contribute the secondary helper on J.T. Miller's game-winning goal in the final minute of the contest. Pettersson has underwhelmed this postseason with a goal, four assists, 18 shots on net, 22 hits and a minus-1 rating over 11 appearances. He shifted to the wing Thursday, and Elias Lindholm moved up to center the second line. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm
  • Scores in return to lineup
Di Giuseppe scored a goal on three shots, added four hits and went plus-2 in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Oilers in Game 5.

Advice: Di Giuseppe had missed the last two contests while with his growing family as he welcomed a son into the world. The 30-year-old was clearly inspired, as he scored off a turnover in the second period for his first career playoff goal. The forward has two points, five shots on net, 30 hits and a plus-2 rating over nine playoff appearances, though he's been limited to bottom-six minutes. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:50 pm
  • Rejoins team ahead of Game 5
Di Giuseppe (personal) was back with the team for Thursday's game-day skate prior to Game 5 versus Edmonton, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Advice: Di Giuseppe is goalless in 13 straight contests in which he recorded one lone helper, four shots and six blocks while dishing out 36 hits. Given his offensive limitations, Di Giuseppe is far from a lock to suit up in Game 5 and could continue watching from the press box in favor of Linus Karlsson, Vasily Podkolzin or Nils Hoglander -- all of whom will no doubt be pushing for minutes. • Re-ups for another year
Laberge signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with New Jersey on Thursday.

Advice: Laberge finally made his NHL debut this season, playing in two games for the Devils in which he generated three hits while logging a combined 6:11 of ice time. Considering the 27-year-old winger has never reached the 20-point threshold in AHL action, he figures to remain primarily a fringe roster option for New Jersey moving forward. • Secures two-year deal
Halonen inked a two-year, two-way contract with New Jersey on Thursday.

Advice: Halonen played in just two NHL games this season in which he registered two shots and two hits while averaging 8:17 of ice time. The 25-year-old winger was significantly more productive in the minors, racking up 20 goals and nine helpers with AHL Utica. Even with this new deal in hand, Halonen figures to remain primarily an AHL option for the club next season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:05 am
  • Two more helpers in loss
Robertson recorded two assists, including one on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5.

Advice: Robertson helped out on the Stars' first two goals. The winger has returned to his playmaking roots with seven helpers over five games in the second round, with four of those assists coming on the power play. For the playoffs, he's earned 12 points, 23 shots on net, 22 hits, 16 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through 12 appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:56 pm
  • Slides assist in win
Parise notched an assist and two hits in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Stars in Game 5.

Advice: Parise snapped a six-game point drought with the helper on a Casey Mittelstadt tally in the third period. The 39-year-old Parise continues to play a limited role -- he hasn't exceeded 15 minutes of ice time in any of the last seven games, and he's done so just twice in 10 playoff outings. He has three points, 18 shots on net, 27 hits and an even plus-minus rating in a middle-six capacity. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:42 pm
  • Has knee surgery
Nieto underwent reconstructive MCL surgery on his left knee surgery May 2, the team announced Wednesday. He's expected to require six-to-seven months to recover.

Advice: Nieto last played Nov. 30, 2023 and underwent laparoscopic surgery on his right knee back in January. His new timetable suggests that he won't return until November at the earliest. Nieto should be in the mix for a bottom-six role once he's healthy. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:31 am
