    Hintz (upper body) will remain unavailable for Game 6 versus Colorado on Friday, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports.

    Advice: Hintz will be out of action for his second consecutive game due to his upper-body issue. Coach Peter DeBoer told reporters he was hopeful the 27-year-old center would be healthy in time for Game 7, if necessary. While Hintz has scored just one goal in his last seven outings, he has chipped in four helpers, including two with the man advantage.     Orlov supplied a secondary assist in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 6.

    Advice: Orlov got on the board by helping out on a Martin Necas first-period tally that opened the scoring. It was the fifth time in six games this series that Orlov registered at least one point. The Russian defenseman also had one shot on goal and six blocks with a minus-1 rating in 19:01 of ice time. Unfortunately for the 32-year-old, he had an egregious turnover in which he failed to clear the defensive zone -- it led directly to a New York goal shortly after Carolina garnered a 2-0 lead early in the second period.     Svechnikov registered two assists in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 6.

    Advice: Svechnikov had a secondary assist on the power play and a primary assist at even strength in Thursday's defeat. The 24-year-old added one shot, one block, four hits and a minus-1 rating in 19:04 of ice time. The Russian forward did have six points in as many games in this series, but he only found the back of the net once. He finished the postseason with 11 points in 11 games.     Advice: Aho had the primary assist on Seth Jarvis' power-play marker early in the second period. Aho also had an even-strength tally in the middle frame which was the final goal Carolina scored in the contest. In addition to scoring two points, the Finnish center had two shots on net, one block and a minus-2 rating in 18:48 of ice time. After a career high in the regular season with 89 points, the 26-year-old forward finished the postseason with four goals, eight assists and a plus-1 rating in 11 outings.     Andersen made 19 saves on 23 shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 6.

    Advice: Carolina had two separate two goal leads in Thursday's loss, but Andersen and the Hurricanes couldn't keep the door shut. Carolina went up 2-0 early in the second period, but New York answered back less then a minute later after Andersen lost his footing in the crease. New York went on to dominate the third period -- Chris Kreider scored a natural hat trick to complete the comeback for the Rangers. Andersen finished the postseason with a 6-4 record alongside a 2.62 GAA and an .895 save percentage.   • Pens three-year contract
    MacDermid agreed to terms on a three-year, $3.45 million contract with New Jersey on Friday.

    Advice: MacDermid will remain with the Devils after joining the club at the trade deadline this last season. In his 16 appearances for the club, the 30-year-old winger managed just one point to go with 29 hits, two blocks and 50 PIM. The decision to give MacDermid a three-year deal does seem a little surprising when you consider he averaged a meager 4:22 of ice time. Looking ahead to next season, MacDermid probably shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of fantasy value given his limited minutes and lack of offensive upside.     Desharnais registered an assist, three hits and four blocked shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Canucks in Game 5.

    Advice: The helper was Desharnais' first point since a two-assist game versus the Ducks on March 30. The 27-year-old defenseman has added 27 hits, 26 blocks, three shots on net and a minus-4 rating over 10 playoff appearances.     Advice: Kulak is up to three points over 10 playoff contests after helping out on a Mattias Janmark tally in the first period. The 30-year-old Kulak has provided steady defense from a third-pairing role, adding 17 blocked shots, 13 hits and a plus-1 rating.     Advice: Janmark snapped a seven-game point drought with his first-period tally. The 31-year-old forward remains in a fourth-line role, so it's not unusual to see him go long stretches without offense since the Oilers lean heavily on their top players.
