In addition to scoring two points, the Finnish center had two shots on net, one block and a minus-2 rating in 18:48 of ice time. After a career high in the regular season with 89 points, the 26-year-old forward finished the postseason with four goals, eight assists and a plus-1 rating in 11 outings.     Andersen made 19 saves on 23 shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 6.

    Advice: Carolina had two separate two goal leads in Thursday's loss, but Andersen and the Hurricanes couldn't keep the door shut. Carolina went up 2-0 early in the second period, but New York answered back less then a minute later after Andersen lost his footing in the crease. New York went on to dominate the third period -- Chris Kreider scored a natural hat trick to complete the comeback for the Rangers. Andersen finished the postseason with a 6-4 record alongside a 2.62 GAA and an .895 save percentage.     Shesterkin turned aside 33 of 36 shots on goal in Thursday's 5-3 win over Carolina in Game 6.

    Advice: Shesterkin bounced back in a big way after Monday's Game 5 loss, helping the Rangers move on to the next round of the playoffs. Carolina outplayed New York for a large portion of the first 40 minutes, but Shesterkin stood tall between the pipes before the Rangers took over in the final frame. It was the 28-year-old netminder's eighth win of the postseason and 21st overall of his career. He has a record of 8-2 with a 2.40 GAA and a .923 save percentage after two rounds of the postseason.     Bobrovsky will get the starting nod on the road for Game 6 against the Bruins on Friday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

The 35-year-old backstop should be able to rely on his offense to close out the series, which is averaging 3.70 goals per game in the postseason, if he can continue to keep the goals allowed at two or fewer. Fantasy players will have to take a wait-and-see approach, though the fact that Marchand was working with the No. 1 power-play unit Thursday should indicate his availability.     MacDermid agreed to terms on a three-year, $3.45 million contract with New Jersey on Friday.

    Advice: MacDermid will remain with the Devils after joining the club at the trade deadline this last season. In his 16 appearances for the club, the 30-year-old winger managed just one point to go with 29 hits, two blocks and 50 PIM. The decision to give MacDermid a three-year deal does seem a little surprising when you consider he averaged a meager 4:22 of ice time. Looking ahead to next season, MacDermid probably shouldn't be expected to offer much in the way of fantasy value given his limited minutes and lack of offensive upside.     Advice: The helper was Desharnais' first point since a two-assist game versus the Ducks on March 30. The 27-year-old defenseman has added 27 hits, 26 blocks, three shots on net and a minus-4 rating over 10 playoff appearances.
