    Davidson agreed to terms on a two-year, entry-level contract with Montreal on Friday.

    Advice: Davidson spent the 2023-24 season playing for AHL Laval on a minor-league-only contract, notching 11 goals and five assists in 38 games for the Rocket. Selected by the Montreal organization in the fifth round of the 2022 NHL Draft, the 21-year-old center will likely need some more time developing in the minors before getting a chance to make his NHL debut.     Advice: Lundell gave the Panthers the lead just after the midway point of the third period in Thursday's win. He was held off the scoresheet in consecutive contests prior to Game 5. The 22-year-old also had three shots on goal and a plus-1 rating in 14:05 of ice time. Lundell is back to centering the third line after a recent stretch on the second line -- his ice time has decreased as a result over the last two contests. On the positive side, Lundell is averaging 1:11 more of ice time during the postseason in comparison to the regular season, though Florida's numerous overtime games have boosted everyone's playoff ice totals.     O'Connor (hip surgery) is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, according to Corey Masisak of The Denver Post.

    Advice: O'Connor underwent surgery in March and missed the rest of the season. O'Connor had 13 goals and 25 points in 57 appearances for the Avalanche, giving them secondary scoring from an unexpected source, as his previous career high was nine goals in 82 games during the 2022-23 campaign. He was dropped to the second pairing Wednesday after spending a majority of the playoffs alongside Miro Heiskanen on the top pairing.
