    Clarke was dealt to Minnesota from New Jersey in exchange for Adam Beckman on Friday.

    Advice: Clarke made his NHL debut with the Devils on Jan. 6 and managed to play in three top-level games before he was returned to AHL Utica. Clarke finished with 25 goals and 49 points in 67 regular-season games with Utica last season. He'll likely once again spend most of his time in the minors in 2024-25.     Beckman was traded to the Devils from Minnesota in exchange for Graeme Clarke on Friday.

He also scored 19 goals and had 33 points in 51 AHL regular-season games with Iowa. Look for Beckman to challenge for a bottom-six role with the Devils during training camp.     Kane (abdomen) skated at morning practice Thursday, but his status for Game 6 versus Florida on Friday is up in the air, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports.

  • Moving to Washington
    Dubois was acquired by the Capitals from the Kings on Wednesday in exchange for Darcy Kuemper.

    Advice: The Kings made a big bet on Dubois in the summer of 2023, trading Alex Iafallo, Gabriel Vilardi, Rasmus Kupari and a 2024 second-round pick to get him from the Jets. The move also involved signing Dubois to an eight-year, $68 million contract. The idea was that the center, who provides a strong blend of grit and skill, would make the Kings deep up the middle in the short term and perhaps even be the eventual successor to Anze Kopitar. However, Dubois went from recording at least 60 points in each of his previous two campaigns to finishing with 16 goals and 40 points across 82 regular-season contests in 2023-24. Averaging 15:42 of ice time this season, down from 18:27 in 2022-23, probably didn't help his offensive production, so perhaps the move to Washington will do him some good.     Dellandrea was acquired by the Sharks from the Stars on Wednesday in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick.

    Advice: Dellandrea had two goals, nine points, 23 PIM and 63 hits in 42 regular-season appearances with Dallas in 2023-24. The 23-year-old should be in the conversation for a bottom-six spot with San Jose going into training camp.     MacLean signed a three-year contract with the Islanders on Wednesday.

    Advice: New York didn't release the financial details of the deal, but CapFriendly later reported that MacLean will carry a $775,000 cap hit. The 25-year-old had four goals, nine points, 11 PIM and 60 hits in 32 regular-season outings with the Islanders in 2023-24. He also collected six goals, 22 points and 32 PIM in 43 regular-season appearances with AHL Bridgeport, though the one-way nature of this deal suggests he is likely to stick at the NHL level.
