    • Collects helper in Game 7
Rodrigues recorded an assist in Monday's 2-1 win over the Oilers in Game 7.

Advice: Rodrigues was one of the Panthers' top players in the Stanley Cup Finals -- he supplied four goals and three assists in the seven-game series. The 30-year-old forward ended up with 15 points, 44 shots on net, 55 hits and a plus-6 rating over 24 playoff contests. Rodrigues is one of seven NHL-level forwards the Panthers have under contract for 2024-25 after signing a four-year deal last offseason. He should continue to operate in a middle-six role for Florida. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:59 pm

    • Inks two-way contract
McCartney signed a one-year, two-way deal with Utah on Monday, per CapFriendly.

Advice: McCartney has not seen any NHL action since dressing in two games with Arizona during the 2021-22 campaign. The 22-year-old winger tallied six goals and 22 points in 46 AHL appearances last season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:37 pm
    • Signs one-year contract
Fagemo signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Kings on Monday, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

Advice: Fagemo accounted for one goal, 13 shots on net, three blocked shots and five hits in eight regular-season outings between LA and Nashville last campaign. He also produced 43 goals and 62 points across 50 regular-season contests for AHL Ontario in 2023-24. Fagemo will battle for a bottom-six role with the Kings during training camp in the fall. • Announces retirement
Brassard said Sunday in an interview with Mathias Brunet of La Presse that he has retired from professional hockey.

Advice: Brassard didn't play during the 2023-24 season after suffering a fractured fibula in his final game with the Senators on March 30, 2023. The 36-year-old forward produced 215 goals and 545 points in 1,013 career regular-season games for the Blue Jackets, Rangers, Senators, Penguins, Avalanche, Panthers, Islanders, Coyotes, Oilers and Flyers. • Two points in win
Foegele scored a goal and added an assist in Friday's 5-1 win over the Panthers in Game 6.

Advice: Foegele has stepped up big in this series -- he's racked up two goals and three assists during his four-game point streak. The winger had just three points over his first 17 playoff appearances this year. Foegele is likely to remain on the second line for Monday's Game 7 as the Oilers try to complete the reverse sweep. • Dealt to New Jersey
Beckman was traded to the Devils from Minnesota in exchange for Graeme Clarke on Friday.

Advice: Beckman played 11 regular-season games at the NHL level in 2023-24, picking up a pair of assists over that stretch. He also scored 19 goals and had 33 points in 51 AHL regular-season games with Iowa. Look for Beckman to challenge for a bottom-six role with the Devils during training camp. • Moving to Washington
Dubois was acquired by the Capitals from the Kings on Wednesday in exchange for Darcy Kuemper.

Advice: The Kings made a big bet on Dubois in the summer of 2023, trading Alex Iafallo, Gabriel Vilardi, Rasmus Kupari and a 2024 second-round pick to get him from the Jets. The move also involved signing Dubois to an eight-year, $68 million contract. The idea was that the center, who provides a strong blend of grit and skill, would make the Kings deep up the middle in the short term and perhaps even be the eventual successor to Anze Kopitar. However, Dubois went from recording at least 60 points in each of his previous two campaigns to finishing with 16 goals and 40 points across 82 regular-season contests in 2023-24. Averaging 15:42 of ice time this season, down from 18:27 in 2022-23, probably didn't help his offensive production, so perhaps the move to Washington will do him some good. Nicklas Backstrom (hip) isn't expected to play at all next season, which leaves the door open for Dubois to possibly serve as the Capitals' top-line center. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:22 pm
    • Inks three-year deal
MacLean signed a three-year contract with the Islanders on Wednesday.

Advice: New York didn't release the financial details of the deal, but CapFriendly later reported that MacLean will carry a $775,000 cap hit. The 25-year-old had four goals, nine points, 11 PIM and 60 hits in 32 regular-season outings with the Islanders in 2023-24. He also collected six goals, 22 points and 32 PIM in 43 regular-season appearances with AHL Bridgeport, though the one-way nature of this deal suggests he is likely to stick at the NHL level.
