    • Signs one-year contract
Kral inked a one-year, two-way deal with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Advice: The Maple Leafs originally drafted Kral under now-Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas, so his addition to the organization shouldn't be a complete surprise. The 24-year-old defenseman spent last season playing overseas with Finnish club the Pelicans. In his 46 contests, Kral notched five goals and 32 assists. He struggled to show that level of offensive upside in previous AHL stints, so fantasy players probably don't need to jump on Kral even in dynasty formats. Rotowire.com Today, 1:46 pm
    • Signs two-year deal
Gruden penned a two-year, two-way contract with the Penguins on Tuesday.

Advice: Gruden played in just 13 games at the NHL level this season in which he generated one goal on nine shots, 35 hits and five blocks while averaging 8:40 of ice time. At this point, the youngster will be hard-pressed to break into the 23-man roster full-time next season but should see his fair share of call-ups throughout the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 1:37 pm
    • Grabs three-year deal
St. Ivany agreed to terms on a three-year, two-way contract with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Advice: St. Ivany managed just one point in his 14 NHL appearances this season while averaging 13:42 of ice time. The 24-year-old blueliner is likely a long shot to make the 23-man roster for Opening Night this fall but should be atop the list of potential call-ups throughout the year. • Returning to Bolts
McDonagh was traded to the Lightning from the Predators along with a 2024 fourth-round pick in exchange for a 2025 second-round selection and 2024 seventh-round pick.

Advice: McDonagh spent five seasons with the Lightning during his previous stint, logging 267 regular-season games for the club while lifting Lord Stanley's Cup twice during his stay. McDonagh figures to slot into a third pairing for the Lightning. With the acquisition of McDonagh, Tampa Bay is unlikely to re-sign Matt Dumba or Calvin de Haan. Rotowire.com Today, 10:06 am
    • Missing from practice again
Lindgren was absent for his third straight day due to maintenance issues, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports Tuesday.

Advice: At this point, Lindgren's absences are becoming a concern regarding his availability for Game 1 against the Panthers on Wednesday. If the blueliner does miss any contests, it will likely result in increased ice time for Erik Gustafsson in addition to seeing Zac Jones enter the lineup for the first time since April 7 versus the Habs. • Inks one-year contract
Miner signed a one-year contract extension with the Avalanche on Tuesday.

Advice: Miner spent his time in the AHL and ECHL this season. He recorded an impressive .930 save percentage through 18 appearances during his time in the AHL as well as a .917 save percentage through 11 ECHL appearances. Alexandar Georgiev and Justus Annunen are both under contract through 2024-25, so Miner will likely spend most, if not all, of next season in the minors. Rotowire.com Today, 8:44 am
    • Generates helper Monday
Lindholm logged an assist, two shots on goal, five hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.

Advice: Lindholm did his part in the second round with three goals and four assists over seven games, but it wasn't enough to extend the Canucks' season. The center produced 22 points over 39 contests between the regular season and playoffs with Vancouver following his trade from Calgary. The 29-year-old is set for unrestricted free agency and figures to be one of the biggest names on the market July 1, assuming he doesn't re-up with the Canucks before then. • First playoff goal not enough
Hronek scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.

Advice: Hronek earned his first career playoff tally late in the third period, but the Canucks couldn't follow it up with an equalizer. The 26-year-old defenseman was limited to two points, 13 shots on net, 25 hits, 15 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 13 postseason appearances in his first taste of playoff action. Hronek will be a restricted free agent this summer -- the only skater on the Canucks' roster with that status -- so getting him signed will likely be a top priority for general manager Patrik Allvin. • Loses Game 7
Silovs allowed three goals on 29 shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.

Advice: Silovs took consecutive losses at the NHL level for the first time in his career, and it couldn't have come at a worse time for the Canucks. He allowed eight goals on 56 shots over Games 6 and 7. Overall, he went 5-5 in the playoffs, allowing 29 goals over 10 contests. It's not a particularly impressive body of work, but it's enough to think Silovs will enter 2024-25 as backup to Thatcher Demko (knee) if Casey DeSmith walks in free agency. Silovs will also need a new contract as a restricted free agent. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:24 pm
