    • Tending twine Friday
Swayman will get the starting nod for Game 3 at home against the Panthers on Friday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: After stopping 38 shots in a dominant Game 1 victory, Swayman couldn't make it through the entirety of Game 2. He was yanked after coughing up four goals on 23 shots. Still, the Bruins will go back to him for an eighth consecutive game. Over his last seven contests, Swayman has gone 4-3-0 over those last seven appearances despite registering a terrific .937 save percentage. Rotowire.com Today, 3:35 pm
    • Collects helper in loss
Mittelstadt recorded an assist in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Stars in Game 2.

Advice: Mittelstadt has gone six games without a goal, but he has six assists in that span. The 25-year-old is performing well from his second-line spot with seven points, 16 shots on net and a plus-4 rating over seven playoff outings. The Avalanche's top six continues to see small adjustments, but Mittelstadt has had no trouble regardless of who he's had on his wings, so he can be safely utilized in most DFS formats. • Needed in relief
Ullmark allowed two goals on 10 shots after replacing Jeremy Swayman in the third period of Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Panthers in Game 2.

Advice: Swayman allowed three goals in the second period and a fourth tally 1:28 into the third before the Bruins turned to Ullmark in net. While Swayman would wind up with the loss, Ullmark didn't fair much better, allowing two more goals later in the frame. The 30-year-old Ullmark hadn't made an appearance since Game 2 of Boston's opening-round series against Toronto, when he allowed three goals on 34 shots in a loss. However, the Bruins could turn to Ullmark in net for Friday's Game 3 following Swayman's rough Game 2 outing, though that may be a bit unlikely given how great Swayman has been in the playoffs so far. • Yanked in Game 2
Swayman was handed the loss Wednesday in Game 2 against the Panthers after allowing four goals on 23 shots before being replaced by Linus Ullmark early in the third period.

Advice: Swayman blanked Florida in the first period before surrendering three goals in the second, including a Gustav Forsling tally with just two seconds left in the frame. Swayman would give up a fourth goal 1:28 into the third before he was replaced by Ullmark. It's the first time in eight postseason starts that Swayman's allowed more than two goals -- he still sports an impressive .942 save percentage with a 1.81 GAA during the playoffs. Swayman earned the primary starting job in the postseason after splitting the workload with Ullmark for most of the year, though the Bruins may elect to make a change prior to Friday's Game 3 on Friday. • Slated to start
Swayman was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate, per Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald, putting him on track to guard the road goal in Wednesday's Game 2 versus Florida.

Advice: Swayman was exceptional in Monday's Game 1, turning aside 38 of 39 shots en route to a convincing 5-1 win. As long as the 25-year-old netminder continues to play at this level, it seems unlikely coach Jim Montgomery will go back to the rotation between Swayman and Linus Ullmark he utilized to open the Bruins' first-round series versus Toronto. • Three points to open series
Makar tallied a goal and two assists in Tuesday's 4-3 Game 1 overtime win over the Stars.

Advice: Makar logged a pair of power-play points in the second period, setting up a Valeri Nichushkin marker before scoring later in the frame. Makar added a third point with another assist on Nathan MacKinnon's game-tying goal in the opening seconds of the third. The 25-year-old Makar has at least one point in all six of his postseason contests so far, totaling three goals and nine assists over that stretch. He posted 90 points (21 goals, 69 assists) in 77 regular-season games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:19 am
    • Contributes helper in win
Coyle logged an assist, seven hits, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 5-1 win over the Panthers in Game 1.

Advice: Coyle set up Brandon Carlo's tally late in the second period. The 32-year-old Coyle has been a bit quiet on offense during the playoffs, though that hasn't prevented him from being a physical force in a top-six role. The center has three assists, 13 shots on net, 34 hits, 16 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating this postseason. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:15 pm
    • Sets up empty-netter
Marchand recorded an assist, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 5-1 win over the Panthers in Game 1.

Advice: Marchand set up Jake DeBrusk for the empty-net tally to seal the Bruins' win. The 35-year-old Marchand failed to record a point over the final three games of the first round, though the Bruins totaled just four goals in that span. The winger has three goals, six assists, 18 shots on net, 19 hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through eight playoff outings. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:13 pm

    • Stellar in Game 1 win
Swayman stopped 38 of 39 shots in Monday's 5-1 win over the Panthers in Game 1 of the second round.

Advice: A turnover led to the Panthers' lone goal in the second period, which was scored by Matthew Tkachuk. Swayman was otherwise stellar again, as he allowed a single goal for the fourth time in seven playoffs outings. His other three starts have seen him give up just two tallies each time. Swayman is 5-2 with a 1.42 GAA and a .955 save percentage this postseason, and he should be considered a near lock to start in Game 2 on Wednesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:55 pm
