  • Congratulations to t shaw's Nifty Team on winning the title in a very tough matchup. Despite some early problems with goalies you kept fighting until the final seconds of the season. It's been a job well done.
    Congrats to Mr.Ricochet on the well deserved victory in our Consolation bracket.
    Thanks to everyone for your devotion to both fantasy hockey and this league. Looking forward to the next season.

  • Since, as per Yahoo! Fantasy Hockey Rules in the 8-team playoff structure there is no automated consolation bracket for the teams who ranked in the bottom 8, the consolation playoffs will be conducted in a semi-automated mode. I will set the pairings manually given the places taken by the bottom-8 teams in the overall standings.
    Please visit the respective topic on our League's message board to find the consolation playoffs bracket. You will see there the links on your matchups as soon as next week.

  • Greetings!

    Welcome to the 1st season of the Guru Fantasy Hockey League.
    First of all, I am glad to see you all here. Secondly, I appreciate sincerely that you have accepted my invitation to join me here. Thank you all for joining.
    If you want to leave the league for some reason, let me know before the draft.

    I don't plan to change the league settings. The roster is the reflection of the basic NHL team roster. As for stats categories, I think they are just fair and don't have a random ('odd') character.
    Every week your goalies should be in the crease in at least 3 games to have their stats counted. You will also have flexibility with your roster thanks to 100 moves available.
    Keep in mind that we will start having keepers in 2015. So read keeper rules in the respective topic and draft accordingly.

    Now we have less than a month before the draft. I have finalized team list and we will have a draft order generated randomly in a day or two. That will allow you to think over your draft strategy. Feel free to ask your questions regarding draft day/time etc.
