  • J.T. Brown 'came as advertised'
J.T. Brown got in his first game with the Ducks on Monday.

Advice: Brown had an assist and three hits in 9:40 minutes of ice time. Anaheim had claimed him off waivers from Tampa Bay. "I think he came as advertised," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. "He was on the puck. He was physical when he had to be. He acquitted himself very well. We see integrating him into the penalty-killing unit at some point here in the not-too-distant future because that’s part of his makeup and part of the toolbox that he brought with him to us." Brown could serve as a decent complimentary piece to the Ducks, but he won't be a meaningful offensive contributor. 33 minutes ago
  • Nick Cousins has solid performance in loss
Nick Cousins picked up an assist with a plus-2 rating and a hit in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss against the Sharks.

Advice: Cousins has managed just two goals and an assist over his past 23 games. Despite Tuesday's solid showing he is someone who should remain on the waiver wire in most fantasy pools. Yesterday, 9:13 pm
  • Shane Prince forced from Tuesday's game
Shane Prince left Tuesday's game against the New Jersey Devils due to an upper-body injury and he was unable to return.

Advice: Prince delivered a hit and might have actually injured himself on the play. He was scoreless with a minus-1 rating, a blocked shot and the hit, which was his last order of business on the evening. Consider him day to day for now. Yesterday, 9:08 pm
  • Two-point game for Brad Richardson
Brad Richardson scored his third goal of the season while chipping in with an assist and plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss against the Sharks.

Advice: Arizona came up short in this one, but it was through no fault of Richardson. He had a hand in each of the team's goals. After being held without a goal in 18 straight outings from Nov. 18-Jan. 6, Richardson has two goals and an assists over his past three outings. He'll need to do keep scoring if he is to be trusted again outside of the deepest of fantasy pools. Yesterday, 8:59 pm
  • Mikkel Boedker keeps it rolling on Tuesday
Mikkel Boedker picked up a goal on two shots over 11:52 of ice time in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout victory at Arizona against his former team.

Advice: Boedker snapped a 12-game goal scoring drought on Monday night, and now he has goals in back-to-back outings for the first time since Jan. 7-10, 2017 when he had four goals in a two-game span. He is working on a three-game point streak, but is still only worth using in the deepest of fantasy pools at this point. Boedker isn't a bad low-end DFS option Thursday at Nashville while running hot. Yesterday, 8:50 pm
  • Freddie Hamilton scratched vs. Sharks on TUE
Freddie Hamilton will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the San Jose Sharks.

Advice: Hamilton has one assist in eight games this season. He's been scratched in every game since joining the Coyotes from the Flames. Kevin Connauton and Zac Rinaldo will also watch the game from the press box. Yesterday, 6:00 pm
  • Jannik Hansen scratched vs. Coyotes on TUE
Jannik Hansen will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the Arizona Coyotes.

Advice: Hansen's game has fallen off a cliff this season, as he's picked up just four assists in 26 contests this season. This will be his fourth straight game in the press box and the seventh time in their last eight. Tim Heed will also serve as a healthy scratch in this one. Yesterday, 5:57 pm
  • Cody McLeod scratched vs. Golden Knights
Cody McLeod will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Advice: McLeod has one goal, one assist and 72 penalty minutes in 23 games this season. This will be his fourth consecutive game watching from the press box. He won't have any fantasy value going forward. Yannick Weber will also serve as a healthy scratch in this one. Yesterday, 4:50 pm
  • Jimmy Hayes scratched vs. NYI on Tuesday
Jimmy Hayes will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the New York Islanders.

Advice: Hayes will be joined in the press box by Blake Coleman. He has three goals and six assists in 23 games this season. This will be the 11th game in a row that Hayes watches from the press box. Yesterday, 3:53 pm
  • Josh Bailey (lower body) is on the mend
Josh Bailey (lower body) is "feeling pretty good," according to coach Doug Weight.

Advice: However, Bailey doesn't appear to be ready to return to the lineup yet. "We'll get him on the ice tomorrow and see how he feels," said Weight. "He's the only one that would be in anywhere into this week." The Islanders host Boston on Thursday and visit Chicago on Saturday. Yesterday, 2:17 pm
  • James Neal is good to go on Tuesday
James Neal (illness) will be in the lineup Tuesday night.

Advice: Neal didn't skate Monday because of a sinus issue, but he is ready to go against his former Nashville teammates. He has 18 goals and 29 points in 42 appearances with the Golden Knights this season. Yesterday, 10:29 am
  • Noel Acciari (UBI) could play Wednesday
Noel Acciari (upper body) didn't practice on Tuesday.

Advice: Acciari was hurt on Monday against Dallas and he only logged 6:05 of ice time in the contest. Coach Bruce Cassidy expects Acciari to be ready to play on Wednesday, but we will list him as day-to-day for the time being. Yesterday, 10:20 am
  • Darren Helm won't be back this week
Darren Helm (lower body) has already been ruled out for Saturday's match against Carolina.

Advice: Helm won't play this week after he suffered a lower-body injury this past Saturday. Coach Jeff Blashill said that tests did not reveal any structural damage, but a timetable remains uncertain. Yesterday, 8:40 am
  • Justin Abdelkader won't play this week
Justin Abdelkader (groin) won't play on Saturday against Carolina.

Advice: Abdelkader has been ruled out for Detroit's next two games, including Tuesday's match versus Dallas. Coach Jeff Blashill said tests on Abdelkader did not reveal any structural damage, but a timetable beyond this week is unclear. Yesterday, 8:38 am
  • Nikita Soshnikov (LBI) skates Tuesday
Nikita Soshnikov (lower body) took part in Tuesday's morning skate.

Advice: This marks Soshnikov's first time on the ice since he went on injured reserve back in December. Coach Mike Babcock said that Soshnikov may get a conditioning stint in the minors before he returns to action with the Leafs. Yesterday, 8:24 am
    Injured Reserve
  • Colin Wilson scores in win over Anaheim
Colin Wilson potted a goal in Monday's 3-1 win over Anaheim.

Advice: Wilson has posted just four goals this season. His first marker since Dec. 12 was a power-play tally late in the second period. Wilson has 12 points in 34 matches. Yesterday, 8:10 am
  • Alexander Radulov reaches 40-point mark
Alexander Radulov netted his 17th goal of the season on Monday in a 3-2 OT win over Boston.

Advice: Radulov gave the Stars a 2-0 lead at the time. He has produced three goals and five helpers during a four-game point streak. Radulov has 40 points through 45 contests in 2017-18. Yesterday, 7:57 am
  • Joonas Donskoi gets 5 points in last 2 games
Joonas Donskoi has five points in his last two games.

Advice: After scoring two goals and an assist on Saturday, Donskoi chipped in another two helpers in Monday's 4-1 win over Los Angeles. Donskoi has also recorded at least a point in three of his last four games. He has 10 goals and 20 points in 36 games in 2017-18 after recording just 17 points in 61 contests last season. Yesterday, 6:02 am
  • Jordan Eberle gets 7 assists in last 3 games
Jordan Eberle has seven assists over his last three games.

Advice: Eberle contributed an incredible four helpers on Saturday and chipped in another two on Monday. He's up to 14 goals and 36 points in 45 contests this season. Getting him from Edmonton has proven to be a nice pickup for the Islanders, especially given that the forward he was traded for, Ryan Strome, has seven goals and 17 points in 46 games with the Oilers. Yesterday, 5:46 am
  • Kevin Hayes (LBI) probably won't play Tuesday
Kevin Hayes (lower body) didn't skate on Sunday or Monday.

Advice: Hayes missed Sunday's game and after being held off the ice for two straight games, it seems unlikely that he'll be ready to return Tuesday night. He has 10 goals and 18 points in 43 games this season. Yesterday, 5:39 am
