  • Nick Leddy scores opening goal in OTL vs. PHI
Nick Leddy scored his eighth goal of the season in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Flyers on Sunday.

Advice: Leddy's unassisted marker in the first period was his eighth goal and 24th point in 44 games this season. With two assists on Saturday in LA, it was a three-point weekend for the veteran blueliner. Yesterday, 7:26 pm
  • Werenski picks up another goal for Columbus
Zach Werenski notched his seventh goal of the season during Sunday's 7-6 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators.

It took 31 games, but Scott Harrington finally scored his first NHL goal during Sunday's 7-6 overtime win over the Senators.

  • Borowiecki, Bailey out vs Blue Jackets on Sun
Mark Borowiecki and Casey Bailey will both be scratched from Sunday's match with the Blue Jackets.

Advice: Borowiecki is still out sick with the flu. Bailey is up with the team as an extra just in case. Yesterday, 1:56 pm
  • Scott Mayfield scratched vs Flyers on Sunday
Scott Mayfield will be scratched against the Flyers on Sunday.

Advice: Through six games this season Mayfield has posted four points along with 19 PIMs. Yesterday, 1:24 pm
  • Islanders get Johnny Boychuk back vs Flyers
The Islanders will indeed get Johnny Boychuk back on their blue line Sunday against the Flyers.

Advice: The rugged defender has picked up five goals and 14 points along with 87 hits and blocks through 40 games this season, and belongs in your lineup as well. Yesterday, 1:22 pm
  • Brady Skjei cracks 20-point plateau on Sunday
Thanks to the helper he picked up in Sunday's 1-0 overtime win over the Red Wings, rookie Brady Skjei has reached another milestone.

Advice: Make it 18 helpers and 20 points for him through 46 games this season. Skjei has quietly put together a remarkably solid rookie campaign. Yesterday, 12:27 pm
  • Fredrik Claesson scratched vs Columbus on Sun
Fredrik Claesson will be a healthy scratch in Sunday's game against Columbus.

Advice: Claesson is still searching for his first points of the season through 10 games and has posted just four shots, four blocks, and 12 hits thus far. Yesterday, 11:20 am
  • Matt Greene still recovering from injuries
Unfortunately, Matt Greene is still recovering from a few "lingering" injuries.

Advice: Chief among them is an unspecified back ailment. Greene has suited up just three times since the calendar turned to 2017, and not since Jan. 16th. He is considered day-to-day for now. Yesterday, 11:16 am

  • Mcabe did not play Saturday v Habs
Jake McCabe did not play Saturday night against the Canadiens.

  • Adam Larsson has three assist night
Adam Larsson had three assists in the Oilers 7-3 win over provincial rival Calgary Saturday.

Advice: Larsson has been scoring a bit more of late with six assists in his last seven games. He has two goals and 12 points in 48 games thus far and while that is not great, he is improving. He filled up the stats sheet Saturday with a plus-three rating, four hits and three blocked shots. He is not worth owning in most standard leagues however. Yesterday, 5:07 am
  • Dennis Wideman plays in 800th NHL game
Dennis Wideman played in his 800th career NHL game Saturday.

Advice: Wideman was selected in the eighth round in 2002 by the Sabres. The defenseman had 56 points two seasons ago but that seems like a long time ago in fantasy hockey as he has three goals and 15 points in 42 games. He chipped in with an assist Saturday and is on a three game points streak but his fantasy value is not high at this time. Yesterday, 4:45 am
  • David Schlemko scores OTGWG for Sharks
David Schlemko provided the OTGWG as the San Jose Sharks managed a 3-2 overtime win against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.

Advice: It was Schlemko's first OT game-winner in the NHL and the fourth GWG of his career. This marks his second tally and 10th point of 2016-17, breaking a seven-game pointless slump. That game featured all rare-scorers (the top scorer hit his fifth goal of the season), so Schlemko seems like an inspired choice to make the difference. Saturday, 11:50 pm
  • Cam Fowler had a strong night in Ducks defeat
The Anaheim Ducks really can't blame Cam Fowler for their 5-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild from Saturday.

Advice: Fowler scored a goal and an assist as the Ducks asserted early control over the eventual loss. Fowler's 10 goals match a career-high form his rookie season in 2010-11, while he also has 15 helpers in 2016-17. With 25 points and plenty of time remaining in this campaign, he could very well match or exceed 40 points, a career-high also registered from his first season. Saturday, 11:08 pm
  • Drew Doughty gets 1G. 1A in loss to Isles
Defenseman Drew Doughty scored one goal and an assist in the third period to briefly tie the game, but it was not enough as the Kings lost 4-2 to the Islanders Saturday.

Advice: Doughty got an assist on Jeff Carter’s goal 37 seconds into the third and earned his own at the 4:06 mark. The Kings were unable to maintain the momentum, however. This was Doughty’ eighth goal and 17th assist, but he was unable to score any points in his last three outings. Saturday, 9:05 pm
