  • Milan Lucic wins hardest shot in Edmonton
Milan Lucic won the hardest shot in Edmonton's super skills competition Sunday.

Advice: Lucic's shot was 102.7 MPH. That's nice but Lucic has gone 10 games without a goal and it has been 17 games since he scored at even strength. Poolies who took Lucic in part for his penalty minute totals have been so disappointed this season as he has only 18. Even teammate Connor McDavid has more with 20. It's been a tough go of things of late for the tough winger who has nine goals and 26 points this season. Rotoworld.com 36 minutes ago
  • Blue Jackets use four goalies in four games
The Columbus Blue Jackets have used four different goalies to start in net in their last four games.

Advice: It all comes down to Sergei Bobrovsky's illness as he would have played at least three times had he not been sick. But the Blue Jackets have used Curtis McElhinney (since waived and picked up by Toronto) Anton Forsberg and Joonas Korpisalo between the pipes. Bobrovsky is feeling better and will likely start Tuesday against Carolina. Bobrovsky is a must-start when he plays as he is 26-6-2 with a 2.00 GAA an a .931 save percentage. • Carlyle likes the progress of John Gibson
Coach Randy Carlyle likes the progress and work ethic of John Gibson.

Advice: Carlyle reiterated the point that most people forget that Gibson is only 22 and already a starting goalie in the NHL. "People either don’t remember or don’t think of him as a goalie who is only 22 years old," Coach Randy Carlyle said. "He’s transitioning into a full-time NHL goalie. It takes big-league stops like the one (on Tarasenko) to compete in this league. He understands that there’s a work ethic that’s required to keep your skills sharp. There’s an understanding that it’s not always about you, that you gotta do the little things, gotta take the extra shots when it’s not your turn in the net that night. And you don’t do those things begrudgingly." Gibson is 17-10-8 with a 2.33 GAA and a .920 save percentage. He is a keeper. Rotoworld.com Today, 3:06 am
  • Carter Hutton stymies Ducks for another win
Carter Hutton followed up a Saturday night shutout with a Sunday night victory over Anaheim, making 22 saves on 23 shots.

Advice: Hutton and the Blues scraped out a 2-1 win over the Ducks in overtime. That's two victories in as many days for the 31-year-old. His record improves to 5-5-2 with a 2.65 goals against average and .901 save percentage. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:17 pm
  • Patrik Berglund scores OT winner vs. Ducks
Patrik Berglund played hero for the Blues on Sunday, scoring both of their goals in a 2-1 overtime win over Anaheim.

Advice: Berglund now has 10 goals and 17 points in 44 games this season and has been holding the hot stick lately. Five of his 10 goals this season have come this month, while nine of his 10 goals have come since Dec. 15. The 28-year-old will look to continue contributing on Tuesday night versus Ottawa.
