Player Notes

  • Back in NHL
Lorlei was called up from AHL Providence on Friday.

Advice: Lohrei played quite well for the Bruins in limited action this season, as the rookie managed four goals, nine assists, 32 hits and 63 blocked shots in 41 games. He showed his offensive ability with Providence, picking up a goal and 14 assists in only 19 games. Lohrei provides extra depth on the blue line as the Bruins enter the postseason. • Lights lamp twice in finale
Gourde scored two goals, one shorthanded and the other the eventual game-winner, in Thursday's 4-3 victory over the Wild.

Advice: Both tallies came in the third period, and Gourde's empty-netter with just under two minutes to play ended up being a needed insurance marker. The 32-year-old saw his production take a step backward in 2023-24, managing only 11 goals and 33 points in 80 games, but he set career highs with 156 shots on net and 156 hits and should fill a middle-six role with the Kraken again next season. • Ascends to top level
Gibson was recalled from ECHL South Carolina on Friday.

Advice: Gibson was called up as a third goaltender for the playoffs. He played a pair of games with AHL Hershey, going 2-0-0 with a 1.92 GAA and a .915 save percentage. Gibson spent most of the season in the ECHL, where he was 22-14-6. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago
  • Picks up win Thursday
Daccord made 21 saves in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Wild.

Advice: Most of the scoring came in the third period, as Daccord and Marc-Andre Fleury battled to a 1-1 tie through the first 40 minutes. Daccord ceded the starting role for the Kraken back to Philipp Grubauer after the All-Star break, but the 27-year-old netminder still put together a strong first full NHL campaign, posting a 19-18-11 record with a 2.46 GAA and .916 save percentage. Grubauer still has three years left on his contract with a $5.9 million AAV, but the younger and cheaper Daccord could push for the No. 1 job in camp next season. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago
  • Announces retirement
Francouz (groin) announced his retirement on Friday, Brennan Vogt of The-Rink.com reports.

Advice: Francouz had a tough time recovering from offseason groin surgery and was unable to play at all during the 2023-24 campaign. He returned home to his native Czechia in November and never returned. The 34-year-old netminder last played a year ago, allowing four goals on 23 shots in a 5-4 overtime win over Anaheim. Until he was injured, Francouz was sharing the top job in Colorado with Alexandar Georgiev. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago
