  • Leon Draisaitl nets 1G, 3A in Game 1 win
Leon Draisaitl picked up a goal and three assists in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks.

Advice: What an incredible night for the Oilers forward. Draisaitl helped set up Mark Letestu's power play goal in the first period (1-1) before picking up primary assists on third-period goals by Letestu (2-1) and Adam Larsson (3-1). Draisaitl finally put the game away in the third frame, as he was able to score an empty-netter with just over a minute left in regulation. Draisaitl had no points in his first four games of the 2017 playoffs, but he's now recorded seven points in his last three contests. Game 2 will be held in Anaheim on Friday night. • John Gibson allows 4 goals in GM 1 loss
John Gibson allowed four goals on 31 shots in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers.

Advice: Anaheim is now down 1-0 in their best-of-seven series. The Ducks opened the scoring 37 seconds into the second period, when Ryan Getzlaf scored a gorgeous power play goal. Unfortunately for the Ducks, they allowed Edmonton to score the next three goals. Anaheim still managed to tie the game at three in the third frame, but Oilers defenseman Adam Larsson gave the Oilers a 4-3 lead with less than five minutes remaining, and they never looked back. Gibson now owns a 3-1 record with a 2.92 goals-against-average and a .915 save percentage during the postseason. Game 2 will be held in Anaheim on Friday night. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:49 pm
  • Cam Talbot makes 33 saves in GM 1 win vs. ANA
Cam Talbot stopped 33 of 36 shots in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks.

Advice: Edmonton is now up 1-0 in the best-of-seven series. The Oilers appeared to take the game over in the third period, as they got back-to-back goals in less than two minutes from Mark Letestu and Adam Larsson to give Edmonton a 3-1 lead. But that's when the Ducks woke up. Anaheim got two quick goals of their own from Patrick Eaves and Jakob Silfverberg to tie it up at three. Thankfully for Edmonton, Larsson scored his second of the game to with less than five minutes remaining in regulation before Leon Draisaitl added an empty-netter. Talbot owns a 5-2 record with a 2.17 goals-against-average and a .925 save percentage this postseason. Game 2 will be played in Anaheim on Friday night. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:43 pm
  • Kevin Bieksa doesn't finish GM 1 vs. Oilers
Kevin Bieksa left Wednesday's game against Edmonton because of a lower-body injury.

Advice: Bieksa exited the game in the second period after he got tangled up with Edmonton's Anton Slepyshev in the second period. The Ducks defenseman never returned to the game (he played just 7:03 tonight). It's a tough blow for Anaheim, as they're already without Sami Vatanen, but the good news is that Vatanen is closing in on a return. Bieksa is considered day-to-day for now. • Vernon Fiddler gets the winner for the Preds
Vernon Fiddler scored the winner as the Nashville Predators defeated the St. Louis Blues 4-3 in Game 1 Wednesday.

Advice: Fiddler had only two goals and four points this season and missed the first round of the playoffs with an upper body injury but he was back in the lineup Wednesday for Game 1 and it paid off for the Predators. Don't expect much in the way of scoring from Fiddler who was acquired from the New Jersey Devils in February. The trade has paid off in spades just from the results of Wednesday night.
