  • Logan Shaw skates, won't play Wednesday
Logan Shaw participated in Wednesday's practice, but he won't play against Boston.

Advice: Shaw skated with the extras during the session. Coach Claude Julien wants Shaw to get some more practices with the Canadiens before he makes his debut with the team. Shaw was picked up off waivers from Anaheim earlier this week. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:33 am

  • J.T. Brown 'came as advertised'
J.T. Brown got in his first game with the Ducks on Monday.

Advice: Brown had an assist and three hits in 9:40 minutes of ice time. Anaheim had claimed him off waivers from Tampa Bay. "I think he came as advertised," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. "He was on the puck. He was physical when he had to be. He acquitted himself very well. We see integrating him into the penalty-killing unit at some point here in the not-too-distant future because that’s part of his makeup and part of the toolbox that he brought with him to us." Brown could serve as a decent complimentary piece to the Ducks, but he won't be a meaningful offensive contributor. Rotoworld.com Today, 2:53 am
  • Nick Cousins has solid performance in loss
Nick Cousins picked up an assist with a plus-2 rating and a hit in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss against the Sharks.

Advice: Cousins has managed just two goals and an assist over his past 23 games. Despite Tuesday's solid showing he is someone who should remain on the waiver wire in most fantasy pools. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:13 pm
  • Shane Prince forced from Tuesday's game
Shane Prince left Tuesday's game against the New Jersey Devils due to an upper-body injury and he was unable to return.

Advice: Prince delivered a hit and might have actually injured himself on the play. He was scoreless with a minus-1 rating, a blocked shot and the hit, which was his last order of business on the evening. Consider him day to day for now. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:08 pm

  • Jordan Martinook gets on the board
Jordan Martinook struck for a goal and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss against the Sharks.

Advice: Martinook has re-discovered his scoring touch lately, posting three goals with five points over his past seven games while turning in a plus-2 rating. He won't be confused with former franchise greats Shane Doan or Keith Tkachuk anytime soon, but he isn't a bad scoop in deeper pools if you need a quick infusion of offense if you have the roster flexibility.
