Player Notes

  • Alex Galchenyuk taken off first line
Alex Galchenyuk moved to a line between Sven Andrighetto and Andrew Shaw at Thursday's practice.

Advice: He scored a goal in his return to the lineup from a knee injury, but he hasn't posted a point in his last two outings. Galchenyuk had a minus-2 rating and no shots against Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Coach Michel Therrien intends to move Galchenyuk back up when "his level of play returns." Rotoworld.com 17 minutes ago
  • Niklas Kronwall (groin) may return Friday
Niklas Kronwall (groin) may return on Friday.

Advice: If he isn't back against Buffalo then he could play Sunday against the New York Rangers. Kronwall has been out of action since the Jan. 4 game because of a groin injury. Rotoworld.com 48 minutes ago

  • John Gibson stays hot with win over Avs
John Gibson picked up win 19 in a 2-1 Ducks win over Colorado on Thursday.

Advice: Gibson had to endure a strangely long delay late in the second period but it had little effect on his play in the end. The 22-year-old has seven wins in his last 10 starts and has allowed just five goals total in the last five. He didn't have the best start to the season but is playing as well as his fantasy owners and the Ducks could have hoped for of late. He's 19-10-8 with a 2.26 GAA and .922 save percentage with three shutouts in 37 appearances. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:04 am
  • Andrei Vasilevskiy takes hard luck loss
Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed just two goals on 24 shots but took the loss 2-1 to the San Jose Sharks on Thursday.

Advice: Vasilevskiy has now lost five straight starts. He has played well in his last two starts conversationally. He's just 10-11-2 with a 2.93 GAA and .906 save percentage in 23 starts this year. It's been a weird year in Tampa Bay but could turn around at anytime with the star power if everyone gets healthy for the Lightning. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:37 pm
  • Logan Courture scores winner in 2-1 game
Logan Couture scored the winning goal in a 2-1 win over Tampa Bay on Thursday.

Advice: Couture, who missed the game against the Kings with an illness, put the Sharks ahead 2-1 just 22 seconds into the third period. Couture beat Vasilevskiy through the five-hole with a wrist shot from the low right circle for his 15th. Couture had three shots, three hits and a blocked shot. Ryan Carpenter opened the scoring for the Sharks. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:12 pm
