Pavelski said Tuesday that he won't play in 2024-25 and is likely to bring an end to his 18-year NHL career, Ryan S. Clark of ESPN.com reports. "This is it for me," Pavelski said.

Advice: While Pavelski didn't say outright that he was retiring from professional hockey, he acknowledged in his postseason exit interviews that he had known for a while that the 2023-24 season would be his last in the NHL. The second-oldest player in the NHL this past season, Pavelski remained a productive source of offense for Dallas, notching 27 goals and 40 assists while playing in all 82 contests. Before joining Dallas as a free agent in 2019, Pavelski served as a longtime captain for San Jose and represented the club in two All-Star Games. He added two more All-Star appearances to his ledger during his five seasons in Dallas and finishes his career with 476 goals and 592 assists over 1,332 regular-season games. • Records 20th point of playoffs
Trocheck supplied a helper in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Panthers in Game 6.

Advice: Trocheck had the primary assist on Artemi Panarin's marker late in the third period, which cut Florida's lead to one. Trocheck did not record a shot on goal Saturday, but he did have a whopping 10 hits and a plus-1 rating in 23:59 of ice time, the most of any Rangers forward. The 30-year-old center had a fantastic postseason, finishing with eight goals and 20 points in 16 appearances. Trocheck doubled up on his previous career high in the playoffs -- he recorded 10 points during the 2021-22 season with Carolina. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:31 pm
    • Big impact in Game 4 win
Nurse logged an assist, 12 hits and three blocked shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Stars in Game 4.

Advice: Nurse has been the target of some ire for his poor play in the playoffs, and he got off to an ugly start in this game. He was on the ice for both of the Stars' first-period tallies, including one that banked into the net off his body. Nurse was able to rebound, picking up a helper on a Ryan McLeod goal, and he followed up with a huge physical performance for the rest of the game. Nurse has just three assists with an ugly minus-12 rating through 16 playoff contests, but he's added 35 hits, 37 blocked shots and 31 shots on net while playing in a top-four role. That non-scoring production still gives him a path to relevance in DFS formats. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:29 pm
    • Nets power-play goal
Trocheck contributed a power-play goal in a 3-2 overtime loss to Florida in Game 4 on Tuesday.

Advice: Trocheck opened the scoring at 8:51 of the first period, extending his scoring streak to three games. He has two goals and five points over that stretch, bringing him up to eight markers and 19 points through 14 playoff contests this year. He's been particularly effective with the man advantage, supplying nine postseason points on the power play. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:26 am
