    • Nets lone goal in loss
Barkov scored a goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.

Advice: Barkov had a tally in the second period overturned on a review, as the play was offside. He eventually got a goal anyway, but the Panthers couldn't build off of it. The 28-year-old has five points over six games against the Oilers, but the Panthers' depth scoring has evaporated almost as quickly as their 3-0 series lead. Barkov is at 22 points, 57 shots on net, 50 hits, 24 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 23 playoff outings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:46 pm
    • Takes third straight loss
Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 19 shots in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6. The last two goals were empty-netters.

Advice: The Oilers didn't dominate early in the game, but they converted their chances while limiting the Panthers' offense over the first two periods. Bobrovsky ultimately wasn't up to the task, and he's now allowed 15 goals over his last four games, with losses in each of the last three. He'll presumably have one more chance to secure the Stanley Cup for the Panthers in Monday's Game 7 on home ice, as it's unlikely head coach Paul Maurice will switch to backup Anthony Stolarz for the winner-take-all contest. • Forces Game 7
Skinner stopped 20 of 21 shots in Friday's 5-1 win over the Panthers in Game 6.

Advice: Skinner rattled off his third straight win to dig the Oilers out of a 3-0 series deficit. This victory sends the series to Florida one more time for Game 7 on Monday. Skinner has yet to win four games in a row this postseason -- the last time he did so was Feb. 26-March 5 during the regular season. The 25-year-old goalie's performance while helping to pull the Oilers back from the brink makes it a virtual guarantee he'll get the nod for Monday's winner-take-all contest. • Guarding goal in Game 6
Bobrovsky will defend the road crease in Edmonton on Friday, Mike Cugno of CBS Miami reports.

Advice: Bobrovsky has really struggled the last two games, giving up nine goals on 39 shots (.769 save percentage). Overall, the netminder is 15-7 with a 2.35 GAA and a .906 save percentage in 22 playoff appearances. Bobrovsky was on a six-game winning streak prior to losing the past two contests. • Starting Game 6
Skinner will be between the home pipes for Game 6 versus Florida on Friday.

Advice: Skinner has been outstanding over the last two games, giving up only four goals on 65 shots while picking up back-to-back wins to help the Oilers force Game 6. Skinner has been at his best in elimination games during the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs, going 4-0 with a 1.75 GAA and a .928 save percentage in those situations. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 am
    • Moving to Washington
Dubois was acquired by the Capitals from the Kings on Wednesday in exchange for Darcy Kuemper.

Advice: The Kings made a big bet on Dubois in the summer of 2023, trading Alex Iafallo, Gabriel Vilardi, Rasmus Kupari and a 2024 second-round pick to get him from the Jets. The move also involved signing Dubois to an eight-year, $68 million contract. The idea was that the center, who provides a strong blend of grit and skill, would make the Kings deep up the middle in the short term and perhaps even be the eventual successor to Anze Kopitar. However, Dubois went from recording at least 60 points in each of his previous two campaigns to finishing with 16 goals and 40 points across 82 regular-season contests in 2023-24. Averaging 15:42 of ice time this season, down from 18:27 in 2022-23, probably didn't help his offensive production, so perhaps the move to Washington will do him some good. Nicklas Backstrom (hip) isn't expected to play at all next season, which leaves the door open for Dubois to possibly serve as the Capitals' top-line center. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:22 pm
    • Struggles again in Game 5
Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 23 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Oilers in Game 5. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.

Advice: Bobrovsky has been torched for nine goals on just 39 shots over the last two contests, taking consecutive losses to follow up a six-game winning streak. Early in the series, the 35-year-old was generating Conn Smythe buzz, but that has faded with his recent struggles. Bobrovsky is 15-7 with a 2.35 GAA and a .906 save percentage over 23 playoff outings, though it's likely head coach Paul Maurice sticks with the veteran goalie heading into Game 6 in Edmonton on Friday. • Wins Game 5
Skinner stopped 30 of 33 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Panthers in Game 5.

Advice: For the second game in a row, Skinner kept the Oilers' season alive with a solid win. The 25-year-old has allowed 13 goals on 134 shots over five games in the Stanley Cup Finals. He's now 13-8 with a 2.53 GAA and an .898 save percentage over 21 playoff contests. Skinner's a virtual lock to start Game 6 at home as the Oilers look to even the series. • Set to start Tuesday
Bobrovsky will patrol the home crease Tuesday in Game 5 against Edmonton, according to David Dwork of The Hockey News.

Advice: Bobrovsky allowed five goals on 16 shots in Saturday's 8-1 loss to the Oilers before being replaced by Anthony Stolarz with 15:01 remaining in the second period. The 35-year-old Bobrovsky has a 15-6 record with a 2.27 GAA and a .909 save percentage through 21 appearances this postseason. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:10 am
