    • Takes another loss
Georgiev surrendered two goals on 21 shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Stars in Game 4. The last two goals were empty-netters.

Advice: Georgiev played better than the final score would indicate, but the Stars' overall game was too much for the Avalanche to handle. He's now lost consecutive contests for the first time this postseason. The 28-year-old is 5-3 with a 2.97 GAA and an .893 save percentage over eight playoff contests -- which is fairly similar to how he performed in the regular season. The Avalanche's offense is strong enough to avoid asking Georgiev to steal games, but he will need to be just a bit sharper in Monday's Game 4 to avoid putting his team on the brink of elimination. • Nabs helper Saturday
Hintz recorded an assist, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Avalanche in Game 3.

Advice: Hintz had a four-point performance in Game 2, and he got back on the scoresheet with a helper on a Logan Stankoven empty-netter in Game 3. With six points through 10 playoff outings, it's fair to ask a bit more of Hintz on offense. The center has added 13 shots on net, 15 hits, six blocked shots and a minus-1 rating this postseason, though he remains firmly in a top-line role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:12 pm
    • Slings helper in win
Svechnikov registered a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rangers in Game 4.

Advice: Svechnikov is heating up with four points over his last three contests. He helped out on Brady Skjei's game-winning goal late in the third period Saturday. Svechnikov is up to nine points (two on the power play), 27 shots on net, 23 hits, 14 PIM and a plus-2 rating over nine playoff appearances. His best chance to contribute offense will be if he continues to play alongside Sebastian Aho and Jake Guentzel on the first line. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:45 pm
    • Contributes helper in win
Guentzel provided an assist, six shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rangers in Game 4.

Advice: Guentzel has a point in all four games versus the Rangers, and he's been held off the scoresheet just twice in nine contests in the playoffs. The winger is up to four goals, five assists, 25 shots on net, 16 PIM and a plus-5 rating. Guentzel's top-line assignment and significant power-play role will make him a key player as the Hurricanes look to bounce back from their 3-1 series deficit. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:38 pm
    • Set to start Saturday
Georgiev will start at home in Saturday's Game 3 against Dallas, per Tracey Myers of NHL.com.

Advice: Georgiev surrendered four goals on 31 shots en route to a 5-3 loss to the Stars in Game 2 on Thursday. He's 5-2 with a 3.10 GAA and an .886 save percentage in seven playoff contests this year. He struggled in the regular season, too, posting a 3.02 GAA and an .897 save percentage in 63 outings, but he still finished with an impressive 38-18-5 record thanks to the Avalanche's potent offense. • Scores again Thursday
Guentzel scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers in Game 3.

Advice: Guentzel opened the scoring midway through the third period, deflecting a feed from Dmitry Orlov past Igor Shesterkin to give Carolina an early 1-0 lead. While the Canes find themselves down 3-0 in the series, Guentzel has done his part, recording three goals and four points in the three contests. The 29-year-old winger has four goals and eight points in eight games so far in the postseason. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:35 am
    • Nets short-handed tally
Kreider scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Hurricanes in Game 3.

Advice: Kreider got New York on the board with a shorthanded marker midway through the second period, backhanding a feed from Mika Zibanejad under the pad of Pyotr Kochetkov. The 33-year-old Kreider now has goals in back-to-back games and four points in his last three contests. He's up to four goals and seven points through seven games in the postseason. • Forces OT with late goal
Svechnikov logged a goal and an assist in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers in Game 3.

Advice: Svechnikov picked up an assist on Jake Guentzel's opening goal midway through the first period before tying the game 2-2 late in the third with Carolina's net empty, snapping a rebound past Igor Shesterkin. It's the second goal and eighth point for Svechnikov through eight postseason contests. He had 52 points (19 goals, 33 assists) in 59 regular-season games. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:26 am
    • Drops Game 2
Georgiev allowed four goals on 30 shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Stars in Game 2. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.

Advice: Georgiev and the Avalanche again found themselves in a hole early on, and the comeback effort fell short this time around. Georgiev's five-game winning streak was snapped, and he's now allowed 10 goals over his last three outings. The Stars are giving him trouble early in games, though he may be able to get back on track with this second-round series shifting back to Colorado for Games 3 and 4 on Saturday and Monday, respectively.
