    • Keeps scoring Thursday
Nichushkin scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Stars in Game 2.

Advice: Nichushkin's tally brought the Avalanche within a goal late in the third period, but they couldn't pull off another stunning comeback. The winger has at least one goal in all seven playoff contests so far, scoring nine times with one assist, 24 shots on net, 18 hits and a plus-3 rating. Nichushkin was shuffled to the second line during Thursday's game, but that's unlikely to hamper his production even if it ends up being a more permanent move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:27 pm
    • Another multi-point effort
MacKinnon scored a goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 Game 1 overtime win over the Stars.

Advice: MacKinnon set up Valeri Nichushkin's power-play goal in the second period before scoring the tying goal 39 seconds into the third, snapping a loose puck past Jake Oettinger. MacKinnon has at least one point in all six postseason contests so far, and he's recorded two points in four straight games. He's up to three goals and 11 points so far in the playoffs. • Extends goal streak
Nichushkin logged a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 Game 1 overtime win over the Stars.

Advice: Nichushkin got the Avs on the board 5:31 into the second period on the power play, sliding a loose puck past Jake Oettinger before adding a second point on the man advantage with an assist on Cale Makar's tally later in the frame. Nichushkin's been on fire to start the playoffs, scoring in six straight games while totaling eight goals and nine points overall. The 29-year-old winger tallied 28 goals and 53 points, both career highs, in 53 regular-season contests. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:25 am
    • Assist on game-winner
Zibanejad had the primary assist on Vincent Trocheck's game-winning goal in Tuesday's 4-3 double-overtime win over Carolina in Game 2.

Advice: Zibanejad threw a shot towards the net during the second overtime that popped out to Vincent Trocheck for the game-winner. In addition to the assist, Zibanejad recorded six shots on net, two hits and a minus-2 rating in the tilt. He already has four points (two goals) in two contests this series. The first-line center is up to 11 points in the playoffs -- just one behind superstar center Connor McDavid. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:44 pm
    • Starring role in Game 1 win
Zibanejad scored twice, added an assist and blocked two shots in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Hurricanes in Game 1.

Advice: Zibanejad scored the Rangers' first two goals and added an assist on a Vincent Trocheck tally. All three of Zibanejad's points came in the first period, and two of them were on the power play. He's racked up four straight multi-point efforts and his point streak is at 11 games (five goals, 13 helpers) dating back to April 5. The 31-year-old center plays in all situations for the Rangers, and that's unlikely to change in this second-round series. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:46 pm
    • Supplies helper in win
Pietrangelo recorded an assist, four shots on goal and four blocked shots in Friday's 2-0 win over the Stars in Game 6.

Advice: The helper was Pietrangelo's first point in six playoff outings. The veteran defenseman has added 10 shots on net, eight hits, 13 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. Pietrangelo is seeing top-four minutes, but he's also being leaned on for his defense, so his chances to produce points may be limited. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:58 pm
    • Comes up short in Game 6
Saros stopped 28 of 29 shots in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Canucks in Game 6.

Advice: Saros was excellent, going save for save with Arturs Silovs for nearly the whole game. Pius Suter had the breakthrough for the Canucks with 1:39 left in the third period, and that goal was the one to end the Predators' season. Despite a 2-4 record in the playoffs, Saros allowed just 12 goals on 120 shots over six contests, with Friday marking the first time he'd faced more than 21 shots in a game all series. The Finnish goalie is under contract for one more season at a $5 million cap hit, so it's possible his name could swirl in trade rumors if the Predators opt to shake things up. • Tending twine Friday
Saros will face the Canucks at home for Game 6 on Friday.

Advice: Saros turned away 19 of 20 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 Game 5 win to force Game 6. Through five games this series, he's allowed only 11 goals but it's come with a lackluster .879 save percentage. To avoid elimination, Saros will need to earn consecutive wins for the first time since April 4 and 7. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:36 pm
    • Nets power-play goal
Josi scored a power-play goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Canucks in Game 5.

Advice: Josi has a goal, two assists, nine shots on net, 10 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through five playoff contests. His tally Tuesday tied the game at 1-1. Josi's offense has been a little limited during the playoffs compared to his 85-point regular season, but he should continue to play with urgency as the Predators look to stave off elimination two more times in the first round.
