• Dealing with tendon injury
Tanev (ankle) is recovering from a tendon injury, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports Friday.

Advice: Tanev had two goals, 19 points, 24 PIM, 45 hits and 207 blocks in 75 regular-season outings between Calgary and Dallas in 2023-24. He also recorded two assists, 30 hits and 73 blocks across 19 playoff contests with the Stars. He played in two contests after suffering the injury in Game 4 versus Edmonton, so he should be fine for the start of the 2024-25 campaign. The 34-year-old is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent in July. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:29 pm

  • Adds insurance marker
McLeod scored a goal and added two hits in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Panthers in Game 4.

Advice: McLeod tacked on a goal late in the third period. He's scored in consecutive contests for the first time since December. Through 21 playoff outings, the 24-year-old has just three goals with 22 shots on net, 26 hits and a minus-5 rating. Given his lack of production, it's no surprise he remains in a bottom-six role with minimal power-play time. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:58 pm
