He's maintained steady ice time in a top-four role this season, though he's rarely been a big contributor on offense.     De Haan becomes a free agent this offseason.

    Advice: The veteran defender, who inked a one-year deal for $775,000 last summer, put up three goals and seven assists in 59 games this season. De Haan was scratched for nine of the Lightning's last 11 games, despite putting up an assist in each of the two games played. He played in one postseason game in 2023-24, delivering two blocked shots and one hit in 10:50 of ice time. At his best, de Haan could give you triple-digit hits and blocked shots, but he needs to ink a contract this summer. He'll soon be 33, and the journeyman may struggle to find a suitor.     Hedman supplied three assists -- including one on the power play -- in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Panthers in Game 4 of the conference quarterfinals.

    Advice: Hedman was held off the scoresheet in the series opener but he's since emerged with six helpers, and the power-play quarterback's vintage Game 4 performance helped the Lightning avoid a series sweep. A two-time Stanley Cup champion whose 15-year career has been spent exclusively with Tampa Bay, Hedman should continue to be a major factor as long as his team can keep adding games to its postseason schedule.     McNabb scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist, added four hits and blocked five shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars in Game 3.

    Advice: McNabb got the Golden Knights on the board midway through the second period, and he set up a Jack Eichel shorthanded tally just a few minutes later. The 33-year-old McNabb has two goals, one assist, six shots on net, seven hits and 13 blocked shots through three playoff outings in a top-four role. He's known more for his physical play but had a career-high 26 points (four goals, 22 assists) in 82 games during the regular season.     Advice: After finishing the regular season with a 10-game point drought, Suter got his first point of the playoffs with a secondary helper on Wyatt Johnston's overtime winner. The 39-year-old Suter has added just three hits, three blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-3 rating with no shots on net over three postseason outings. He'll remain in a third-pairing role, but his ice time is likely to be limited as long as he skates alongside Nils Lundkvist, who has seen minimal usage in the playoffs.
