• Agrees to one-year deal
Kakko signed a one-year, $2.4 million contract with the Rangers on Thursday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Kakko was set to become a restricted free agent in July after completing his two-year, $4.2 million contract. He struggled in 2023-24, recording just 13 goals and 19 points across 61 regular-season contests after setting career highs with 18 goals and 40 points in 82 regular-season outings in 2022-23. The 23-year-old can't be counted out, but he certainly hasn't lived up to his potential after being selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. Look for him to open next season as a part of the Rangers' middle six. Rotowire.com Thursday, 12:08 pm
  • Signs new deal
Crookshank signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators on Wednesday, per PuckPedia.

Advice: Crookshank made his NHL debut in 2023-24, picking up three points, 20 shots on net, 20 hits and a minus-3 rating over 13 appearances. He also had 46 points in 50 contests with AHL Belleville. Crookshank will likely spend some time in the minors in 2024-25, but he may be ready to push for a larger role at the NHL level. • Questionable for Thursday
Kane (hip) is questionable for Game 3 against Florida on Thursday, per Dan Rosen of NHL.com.

Advice: Kane has four goals, eight points, 37 PIM and 64 hits in 20 playoff contests this year. Corey Perry, who was a healthy scratch in Game 2 on Monday, is projected to draw back into the lineup at the expense of Ryan McLeod on Thursday. However, if Kane ends up being unavailable, then both Perry and McLeod might dress for Game 3. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:38 am
  • Ejected from Game 2
Foegele was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct in Game 2 versus the Panthers on Monday.

Advice: Foegele was dismissed from the game due to his knee-on-knee hit against Eetu Luostarinen, who did eventually return to the game. For his part, the 28-year-old Foegele was limited to just 1:54 of ice time due to his ejection, which extended his 16-game goal drought. Since he was given a game misconduct, it seems unlikely the winger will receive any additional discipline, and he should be an option for Game 3 on Thursday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:49 am
  • Pots two goals in win
Rodrigues scored twice in Monday's 4-1 victory over the Oilers in Game 2.

Advice: Rodrigues extended his point streak to three games and goal streak to two contests thanks to Monday's performance. The 30-year-old added two shots, two hits and a plus-1 rating in 14:38 of ice time. Rodrigues has proven to be an important part of Florida's attack -- he's currently playing alongside Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett on the second line. Rodrigues also has three markers through the first two outings of the Stanley Cup Finals, while no other player has more than one. The Toronto native is up to six goals, five assists and a plus-2 rating in 19 playoff contests. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:12 am

  • Picks up helper in win
Reinhart logged an assist, three shots on goal, three blocked shots, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Oilers in Game 1.

Advice: Reinhart hadn't logged an assist since he dished out four of them in Game 2 of the second round versus the Bruins. Over the 10 contests in between, the 28-year-old winger posted five goals and 33 shots on net. He's up to 13 points (five on the power play), 68 shots, 44 hits, 27 blocks and a plus-2 rating through 18 playoff appearances in a top-line role. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:51 pm

  • Deposits empty-netter
Luostarinen scored an empty-net goal and added two hits in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Oilers in Game 1.

Advice: Luostarinen has a goal and two assists over his last three games after finishing Saturday's win with an empty-netter. The 25-year-old forward continues to play on the Panthers' third line, so his scoring chances will likely remain limited. He's picked up a decent seven points with 24 shots on net, 53 hits, 20 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 18 playoff contests in that supporting role. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:46 pm

Advice: Rodrigues tallied on a feed from Sam Bennett early in the second period to put the Panthers up 2-0. The 30-year-old Rodrigues had gone nine games without a goal, picking up four assists and 17 shots on net in that span. The forward is up to nine points, 33 shots on net, 46 hits and a plus-1 rating through 18 playoff contests while playing in a middle-six role. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:44 pm
