General League Rules
There will be a maximum of 4 goalies on one roster, including IR slots. I can’t set it as a limit in the league so the system will allow you to pick up more if you try, don’t do it.
Set your lineup. If you don’t make add/drops or trades, that’s fine. But you must have a set lineup most of the time; Yahoo makes it too easy to set it.
Trades will be reviewed by me, not by the league. If you think a trade is collusive, please just message me first instead of having a huge public argument. I’ll talk to the people in the deal and review the trade. Just because it looks like one team wins a trade, does not mean it’s collusive.
If a new person manages a team, they are allowed to select 2 keepers from the team they take over OR they can choose 1 unclaimed keeper, in the round they were drafted.
Keeper Rules
No goalies can be kept.
Players drafted in the first two rounds cannot be kept. This will be grandfathered in, so 2nd round picks can be kept this season, but not moving forward.
A player can be kept in the round that they were drafted. If the player is kept for more than one year (by you or by someone else) they must be kept in the next highest round.
If a kept player has the same round value as your other keeper, the next highest round is used. (If you kept your 5th round pick and someone else’s 5th round pick, one of the keepers will be a 4th rounder, but it’s your choice as to which one.)
Any player that was not drafted can be kept in the 15th round and will follow the same rules if kept for more than one season.
Any player that is on your end of season roster can be kept. If a player that was drafted by you but is not on your team is not kept, you can keep them instead. However, the team that currently has the player will get the first chance to keep them.
You can keep up to 2 players and can change who and how many you keep from season to season.
NOTE: If you are wanting to keep someone that is did not end the season on your team but was drafted by you, do the following:
Select your other keeper as normal AND select your next choice of keeper in the event your unowned keeper is kept by another team. You will also have to send me a message/text/email/comment ranking all 3 of your keepers, in order of priority. This message must be sent before 11:59pm Friday. This will only have to be done if you are trying to keep someone who did not end the year on your team. If both your keepers are on your team and can be selected on Yahoo, do not worry about this. -
Hey everyone! Welcome back to another season of fantasy hockey. A little last minute again this year, but nice to have just about everyone back. We have 11 returning and I am working on getting a 12th. The draft is set for Monday the 9th at 9pm.
We’ll of course be doing another year of keepers. Same rules apply, which I’ll post somewhere for reference. In short, skaters can be kept in the round drafted, if kept for additional years the round goes up by 1. The 12th owner will either get 2 of Seth’s team’s keepers or 1 unclaimed keeper, as per the rules.
The keeper deadline is Friday the 6th at midnight. Please submit them through the website like previous seasons. If you are trying to keep someone not on your final roster (meaning you can’t actually select them on the website) make sure to text/message/fax me before the deadline so I am aware.
