    Advice: Suzuki scored just his second goal over the last 13 games. As the trailer on the play, he took a drop-back pass with speed and skated through Buffalo's defenders to beat Devon Levi high to the stick side. It was Suzuki's fifth power-play tally, and the top-line center's last five markers have been scored with the Canadiens up a skater. Suzuki last scored at even-strength Nov. 4 against St. Louis.     Advice: DeBrincat set the stage for Patrick Kane's first goal as a Red Wing. It's common knowledge that those two originally were linemates with the Blackhawks; Kane was instrumental in helping Cat to a pair of 41-goal seasons. Wings coach Derek Lalonde might have to get creative with his line combinations since captain Dylan Larkin sustained an undisclosed injury in Saturday's game, but DeBrincat, of course, is a mainstay in the top-six group of forwards, carrying 13 goals and 12 assists through 26 games heading into Monday's road clash with the Stars.     Rantanen had six shots on net, one blocked shot and one hit over 22:11 of ice time in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Philadelphia.

    Advice: Rantanen, who entered the game on an eight-game stretch without a tally, nearly ended the slump in the first period but hit the crossbar on the power play. He opened the game on the second line with the returning Valeri Nichushkin -- back after missing two games due to illness -- and Tomas Tatar. By the third period, coach Jared Bednar reunited Rantanen and Nichushkin with Nathan MacKinnon, which is a sign the coach is not pleased the rest of the forwards.   • Flawless in relief
    Reimer saved all 11 shots that came his way in relief duty on the way to Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Senators.

    Advice: Reimer stepped into the crease to start the third period after scheduled starter Alex Lyon permitted four goals on 25 shots. Ironically, Reimer hadn't played since a Nov. 16 contest against the Senators in Sweden for the NHL Global Series, when he set aside 29 of 34 shots and ended up saddled with an overtime loss. The Red Wings are unique because they have three goalies on the active roster, with Ville Husso's 14 appearances leading the trio.     Advice: Greaves turned in a stellar performance in his first NHL contest of the season. He also received ample support from his offense to secure the win. The 22-year-old is in the NHL while Elvis Merzlikins (illness) and Daniil Tarasov (knee) work their way back.
