  • Loses Game 7
Silovs allowed three goals on 29 shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.

Advice: Silovs took consecutive losses at the NHL level for the first time in his career, and it couldn't have come at a worse time for the Canucks. He allowed eight goals on 56 shots over Games 6 and 7. Overall, he went 5-5 in the playoffs, allowing 29 goals over 10 contests. It's not a particularly impressive body of work, but it's enough to think Silovs will enter 2024-25 as backup to Thatcher Demko (knee) if Casey DeSmith walks in free agency. Silovs will also need a new contract as a restricted free agent. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:24 pm
  • Nabs Game 7 win
Skinner stopped 15 of 17 shots in Monday's 3-2 win over the Canucks in Game 7.

Advice: Skinner earned back-to-back wins after a two-game benching, but he's still not showing that much to inspire confidence. In those wins, he stopped 29 of 32 shots, a product of the Canucks' lackluster offense more than Skinner's own quality of play. Nonetheless, he's likely done enough to regain the starting job heading into the Western Conference Finals, which begin in Dallas on Thursday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:04 pm
  • Ruled out for Game 7
Head coach Rick Tocchet said Saturday that Demko (knee) will not play in Monday's Game 7 versus the Oilers, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Demko was believed to have a chance to return during the second round, but this will eliminate that possibility. The Canucks will instead entrust either Arturs Silovs or Casey DeSmith in a must-win game with a trip to the Western Conference Finals on the line. Demko will have missed 12 straight contests after Monday, and there's been no indication at what point he might be available if the Canucks are able to extend their playoff run. • Recalled from minors
Poirier was summoned from AHL Texas on Saturday.

Advice: The 22-year-old netminder was 17-16-4 with a 3.19 GAA and a .904 save percentage in 38 games during the regular season. Poirier has yet to play a game at the NHL level. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:48 am
  • Takes double-overtime loss
Georgiev allowed two goals on 38 shots in Friday's 2-1 double-overtime loss to the Stars in Game 6.

Advice: The Avalanche caught a break in the first overtime when a potential Stars goal was overturned for goaltender interference. There would be no rescue for Georgiev after Matt Duchene came back to haunt one of his former teams with a tally 11:42 into the second overtime. Georgiev went 6-5 with a 2.85 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 11 playoff contests, numbers roughly in line with his regular-season performance. After playing 143 games between the regular season and playoffs over the last two years, the Avalanche may be motivated to make sure the 28-year-old sees a smaller workload in 2024-25, though he should still be the primary starter entering the final year of his current contract. • Seals series in double overtime
Oettinger stopped 29 of 30 shots in Friday's 2-1 double-overtime win over the Avalanche in Game 6.

Advice: Oettinger was tagged for five goals on 27 shots in Game 5, but he bounced back in a big way to secure the series win Friday. This was the fifth time in 13 contests that he's limited an opponent to a single goal. Oettinger also hasn't lost consecutive games since his first two outings in the first round. He's locked in as the Stars' starter as they await the winner of the Canucks-Oilers series to join them in the Western Conference Finals. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:24 pm
  • Eliminated from playoffs
Swayman made 26 saves in a 2-1 loss to the Panthers on Friday in Game 6.

Advice: Swayman stood tall in the crease Friday, but his valiant effort wasn't enough as the Panthers eliminated the Bruins in a heart-wrenching loss. Despite the defeat, the 25-year-old netminder stopped 26 of 28 shots, showcasing his poise under playoff pressure. Over six second-round contests, Swayman posted a solid .917 save percentage and 2.86 GAA, indicating his consistent high-level performance down the stretch. The future is bright for Swayman, though he might once again split time with Linus Ullmark, who has one campaign left on his contract, during the 2024-25 regular season. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:16 pm
  • Advances Panthers to next round
Bobrovsky made 22 saves in a 2-1 win over the Bruins on Friday in Game 6.

Advice: Bobrovsky's exceptional performance was the backbone behind the Panthers' thrilling victory, making crucial saves in the dying moments to preserve the win. With a 2.03 GAA and a .907 save percentage over the six-game series, Bobrovsky's impressive run is a good sign for the Panthers as they face a confident Rangers team on the road in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday. • Reassigned to minors
Garand was demoted to AHL Hartford on Friday, per CapFriendly.

Advice: Garand earned a promotion for Game 6 against Carolina on Thursday but was quickly sent back down. Barring multiple injuries to goaltenders, he shouldn't see any action for the Rangers this postseason. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:30 pm
