  • Provides helper in loss
Heiskanen recorded an assist and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 4.

Advice: Heiskanen set up an Esa Lindell tally in the first period. The helper extended Heiskanen's point streak to three games, though he also took a minus rating for the first time since Game 1 of the second round. The Finnish blueliner is up to 16 points, 38 shots on net, 40 blocked shots, 25 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 17 playoff outings in a top-pairing role. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:51 pm
  • Scores goal in loss
Lindell scored a goal in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 4.

Advice: Lindell took a shot that banked in off Darnell Nurse for the Stars' second tally. The 30-year-old Lindell has two goals and a helper over his last three contests. He's played a larger role in the Western Conference Finals and was paired with Miro Heiskanen for Wednesday's game after most often being alongside Chris Tanev earlier in the postseason. Lindell has five points, 22 shots on net, 26 hits, 40 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 17 postseason appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:47 pm
  • Big impact in Game 4 win
Nurse logged an assist, 12 hits and three blocked shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Stars in Game 4.

Advice: Nurse has been the target of some ire for his poor play in the playoffs, and he got off to an ugly start in this game. He was on the ice for both of the Stars' first-period tallies, including one that banked into the net off his body. Nurse was able to rebound, picking up a helper on a Ryan McLeod goal, and he followed up with a huge physical performance for the rest of the game. Nurse has just three assists with an ugly minus-12 rating through 16 playoff contests, but he's added 35 hits, 37 blocked shots and 31 shots on net while playing in a top-four role. That non-scoring production still gives him a path to relevance in DFS formats. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:29 pm
  • Fills empty cage
Ekholm scored an empty-net goal on three shots and went plus-3 in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Stars in Game 4.

Advice: Ekholm has had some strong moments in the playoffs, but he entered Wednesday on a six-game point drought. It nearly got to seven contests, but he was able to fire home an empty-netter to seal the Oilers' win, which tied the Western Conference Finals at 2-2. Ekholm is up to four goals, three assists, 28 shots on net, 17 hits, 26 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 16 playoff outings as the Oilers' top shutdown defenseman. • On unconditional waivers
Nousiainen was put on unconditional waivers by Los Angeles on Wednesday for the purpose of terminating his contract, per John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio.

Advice: Nousiainen had nine assists in 52 regular-season contests with AHL Ontario in 2023-24. He also registered two helpers in eight minor-league playoff outings. If the 23-year-old clears waivers as expected, he might return to his native Finland. Before signing a three-year, entry-level contract with the Kings in March 2022, he spent parts of four seasons with the KalPa Kuopio of Finland's Liiga. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:21 pm
  • Back on scoresheet in win
Montour notched a helper on the game-winning goal in overtime in Tuesday's 3-2 win over New York in Game 4.

Advice: Montour had the secondary assist on Sam Reinhart's game-winner in overtime to help tie the series. Montour was held off the scoresheet in six consecutive contests prior to getting on the board in Tuesday's win. He added four shots, six hits and a minus-1 rating in 23:50 of ice time, which was the most of any skater in the game. The 30-year-old defenseman has been streaky during the playoffs -- seven of his nine points have come in three outings combined. Montour is up to three goals, six assists and a plus-2 rating in 15 postseason appearances so far. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:13 am
  • Signs with Chinese team
Clendening inked a one-year contract with Kunlun Red Star, the KHL's China-based franchise Wednesday.

Advice: Clendening spent last season playing in Finland for Ilves Tampere, registering eight goals and 20 assists in 40 games before adding three more points in five postseason contests. The 31-year-old defenseman hasn't logged an NHL game since the 2018-19 campaign when he was with Columbus. When he eventually hangs up his skates, Clendening will likely retire having played in 90 NHL games in which he tallied four goals and 20 assists. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:09 am
  • Ankle surgery coming soon
Stecher is slated to have ankle surgery at some point this summer, per Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton.

Advice: Stecher managed to play in 54 regular-season games this year, recording one goal and six assists to go along with 51 shots on goal. The 30-year-old will look to be healthy before next season starts in October. He is eligible for unrestricted free agency in the summer. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:06 am
  • Bags apple in loss
Mikkola logged an assist, four hits and two blocked shots in Sunday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Rangers in Game 3.

Advice: Mikkola helped out on an Aleksander Barkov goal in the third period. The helper was Mikkola's first point in nine games since the start of the second round, though his lack of offense hasn't cost him a spot on the Panthers' second defense pairing. The 28-year-old has just three points to go with 11 shots on net, 43 hits, 20 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 14 playoff outings. Rotowire.com May 26, 7:16 pm
