Keeper Rules

All managers are allowed to protect 5 players but only one goalie. All other positions can have multiple players.

Co-commissioner

Would anyone like to volunteer to be co-commissioner?

Co-commissioners have the same powers as the Commissioner, but cannot use the Set Commissioners tool, delete a league, reset a draft, pause a live draft, or undo live draft picks. Commissioners must allow others in league to see their email address.

This would be just as a back-up. I would still be running the league.

5 Keeper Players

Managers will be able to keep 5 players (1 Goalie + 4 skaters) or you'll have the choice of not keeping a goalie and keeping 5 skaters instead. You cannot keep more than 1 goalie.

Some of you have indicated that you were unaware that this league was intended to be a keeper league. I apologize for the misunderstanding. The plan remains to return next season with keeper players.

If you do not intend to return next season, you can still play this season. When the time comes next season, I will transfer your franchise to a new owner/manager who will chose the keeper players from your roster from this season.

League is now full. Draft status will be set to "Ready" on Thursday at midnight, eastern time.

Draft Status will be set to "Ready" within 3 days after the 16th and final team has joined the league.

These UHB2 rules are in addition to the Yahoo Sports rules. You are expected to learn them and abide by them. Ignorance of the rules will not be accepted as an excuse. The UHB2 and its commissioner reserve the right to add to this list and/or modify any existing rule at any moment for the good of the league.

1. No manager shall use the name of a real NHL or other professional/minor league team for their team name. Names of famous people, characters and works are also prohibited. Anything copyrighted will be rejected.

2. No vulgar terms or language shall be used in whole or in part as a manager's team name or manager name.

3. Team names shall not be changed once the regular season commences. If a manager changes his/her team name after the official season opener, their roster will be locked until said name is changed back to its original one. You may experiment with as many name changes as you want between the time you sign up right up until the time of the first official games that count in the standings. At that point, the one you choose will be the one you keep all season. ONCE THE SEASON STARTS, ALL TEAM NAMES WILL BE LOCKED.

4. Team icons must be family-friendly and are subject to the same criteria as rule #2.

5. Good-natured trash talk will be allowed within reason but must be kept rated PG13.

6. All of the UHB2 Commissioner's decisions are final.

7. Any manager who neglects his/her team for an extended period of time risks losing their franchise and could have the team assigned to a new manager at any point during the season or at the very least, the following season. Examples of neglect include but not limited to: not responding to trade offers, not editing lineup regularly, not responding to league e-mails, etc.

8. This league is free to join and there is no trophy. This may change in future seasons but will remain so until further notice.

9. Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in having your team roster locked and possible banishment from the league.

10. Joining this league means you understand and agree to these rules and conditions.
