Player Notes

  • Supplies pair of assists
Draisaitl notched two assists, three shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Panthers in Game 4.

Advice: Draisaitl hadn't had much success in the Stanley Cup Finals before Saturday's matchup. He'd been held off the scoresheet for three straight contests before he broke through in Game 4. The 28-year-old is up to 30 points (15 on the power play) with 69 shots on net, 23 hits, 15 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 22 playoff appearances. Draisaitl rarely goes cold in the postseason, and if the Oilers are going to come back in the series, he'll likely be a big part of that. Saturday, 11:05 pm
  • Lights lamp in Game 4
Henrique scored a goal, doled out five hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Panthers in Game 4.

Advice: Henrique's tally at 7:48 of the first period ended up being the game-winner in the blowout. The 34-year-old has a point in each of the last two contests, and he's up to six points, nine shots on net, 48 hits and a plus-1 rating through 14 playoff outings. Henrique is likely to remain in a third-line role for the remainder of the Stanley Cup Finals, as head coach Kris Knoblauch likely won't adjust the lineup much if the Oilers keep winning. • Tallies on power play
Nugent-Hopkins scored a power-play goal on four shots, added three hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Panthers in Game 4.

Advice: Nugent-Hopkins is reliant on power-play production, so it's no surprise he's been less effective in the later rounds with the Oilers' power play struggling. He has three goals and two assists over his last 10 contests, and his tally Saturday snapped a four-game slump. Overall, the 31-year-old has put up 21 points, 31 shots, 41 hits and a minus-1 rating over 22 playoff appearances. Saturday, 10:50 pm
  • Breakout effort in win
Holloway scored twice, dished an assist, went plus-3, added three hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Panthers in Game 4.

Advice: Holloway hadn't gotten on the scoresheet since the second round, and he saw just 5:24 of ice time in Game 3 versus the Panthers. He responded to the benching in a big way, scoring in the first and third periods to help the Oilers force Game 5. Through 22 playoff outings, the 22-year-old forward has five goals, two assists, 28 shots on net, 73 hits, 20 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating while filling a middle-six role. Saturday, 10:30 pm
  • Inks two-way contract
Reinhardt signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators on Friday.

Advice: Reinhardt had eight goals, 23 points and 76 PIM in 56 regular-season contests with AHL Belleville in 2023-24. The 24-year-old appeared in one NHL game in 2021-22, but he hasn't played at the top level over the past two campaigns. Friday, 12:45 pm
  • Manages helper in win
Luostarinen recorded an assist in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Oilers in Game 3.

Advice: Luostarinen has continued to make an impact from the third line with four points over his last five games. His offense has been streaky in the playoffs, but his place in the lineup has never been in doubt. The 25-year-old forward is up to eight points, 24 shots on net, 55 hits, 20 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 20 playoff contests. Thursday, 11:36 pm
  • Heading back to Czechia
Smejkal signed a five-year contract with HC Dynamo Pardubice of Czechia on Thursday.

Advice: Smejkal picked up one goal and one assist over 20 NHL games with the Senators as well as 22 points in 47 contests with AHL Belleville in 2023-24. The 27-year-old winger signed an entry-level deal with Ottawa last May, but he was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer before signing this deal to head back to his home country. • Signs new deal
Crookshank signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators on Wednesday, per PuckPedia.

Advice: Crookshank made his NHL debut in 2023-24, picking up three points, 20 shots on net, 20 hits and a minus-3 rating over 13 appearances. He also had 46 points in 50 contests with AHL Belleville. Crookshank will likely spend some time in the minors in 2024-25, but he may be ready to push for a larger role at the NHL level.
