    • Charlie Coyle netted a goal for Minnesota, which fell 4-2 in Game 2 of the first-round series with the Avalanche.
Advice: Coyle beat Semyon Varlmov with a tip-in early in the first period via assists from Mikko Koivu and Ryan Suter. Coyle is likely not going to be a playoff-pool asset unless the Wild advance further in the postseason. He had just 12 goals and 30 points in 70 games this year. Marco Scandella notched the other goal; the defenseman had just 17 points during the regular season, so he's probably not going to be a help for fantasy leaguers right now. Koivu and Zach Parise picked up assists on the late third-period marker.

    • Ilya Bryzgalov was pulled in the second period of the Wild's 4-2 loss to Colorado in Game 2 on Saturday night.
Advice: The Wild now trail in the first-round series 2-0. Bryzgalov had a decent run as the Wild's starter, but he hasn't been good over his last four games, posting sub-.880 save percentages in all of them. On Saturday, the Russian gave up three goals on 14 shots in 31:59. Darcy Kuemper was a perfect 14-for-14 and it wouldn't be at all shocking to see him get the start Monday in Minnesota.

    • Ilya Bryzgalov will get a chance to redeem himself Saturday night in Game 2 of the opening round of the playoffs.
Advice: Bryzgalov allowed five goals on 31 shots in the overtime loss to Colorado Thursday night, a couple of which should have been stopped. As the Wild have no other healthy choice to start in goal, Bryzgalov will get a chance to show the Wild made a good choice to acquire him in a late trade this season.

    • Ilya Bryzgalov is expected to be between the pipes for Minnesota in Colorado on Thursday night.
Advice: He has a 7-1-3 record with a 2.12 goals-against average, a .911 save percentage and three shutouts since joining the Wild. Still, you never really know what you're going to get from Bryzgalov and Colorado has some dangerous shooters.

    • Semyon Varlamov set aside 30 shots in Colorado's 4-2 Game 2 win over the Wild on Saturday night.
Advice: Varlamov gave up the game's first goal 4:18 into the first, then didn't allow one until 1:19 left in the contest. Even though Colorado wound up with a win in Game 1, Varlamov was certainly not at his best. This one was a different story and that should give the 25-year-old confidence as the Avs hit the road. Even more promising for the Avalanche is that they posted the best road record in the league this season and Varlamov has been just as sharp away from his home building, posting a .927 save percentage.

    • Semyon Varlamov stopped 29 of 33 shots in Colorado's 5-4 overtime win over Minnesota Thursday night at Pepsi Center.
Advice: Varlamov finished the regular season with 41 wins and he should be one of the candidates to win the Vezina trophy. His first playoff game with the Avalanche wasn't his best performance of the season, but he will be between the pipes again on Saturday.
