  • Cedric Paquette unable to dress in Game 3
Cedric Paquette (undisclosed) is unable to dress for Game 3 Wednesday night versus the Canadiens.

Advice: Paquette was able to take part in the team’s morning practice Wednesday but will be unable to return to the lineup for Wednesday night's game. He left Sunday’s game early with an undisclosed injury. The 21- year-old has only scored one goal in nine postseason games while registering just six shots on goal. Jonathan Drouin will take Paquette's place and play his first game of the series.

Eric Fehr (upper body) skated again Wednesday morning, but as expected he won't play in Game 3.

  • Predators hope to bring back Mike Ribeiro
The Predators would like to bring back Mike Ribeiro.

Advice: "I believe he and his family are very happy here," GM David Poile said. "Hopefully it's a marriage that wants to continue here in Nashville. Poile was thankful that the Predators had Ribeiro on their roster in 2014-15 after he signed a one-year deal worth $1.05 million last summer. "It was exactly what the doctor ordered," Poile said. "(He brought) a dimension that I don't think we had. (If) we don't have Mike Ribeiro, it's going to be hard making the playoffs because he generated so much offense. How would have Filip Forsberg done without him? ... I thought he played just terrific for us." He posted 15 goals and 62 points in 82 games this past campaign and said last week that he "would love to be back" in Nashville.
