    • Nets game-winner in opener
Garland scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over Edmonton in Game 1.

Advice: Garland completed Vancouver's four-goal comeback late in the third period, beating Stuart Skinner off the rush for the game-winner. It's the first goal and third point for Garland through seven games this postseason. He had 20 goals and 47 points in 82 regular-season games while working primarily in a bottom-six role. • Four helpers in Game 2
Reinhart recorded four assists in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Bruins in Game 2.

Advice: Reinhart set up Aleksander Barkov's go-ahead goal in the second period before adding assists on all three of Florida's third-period goals. The 28-year-old Reinhart hadn't recorded an assist in his prior seven postseason games, though he had three goals in five games in the Panthers' opening-round series versus Tampa Bay. Reinhart posted 57 goals and 94 points, both career highs, in 82 regular-season contests. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:08 pm

    • Falls in OT
Oettinger allowed four goals on 26 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 Game 1 overtime loss to the Avalanche.

Advice: Oettinger and the Stars jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period. However, Colorado would tie the game with a pair of power-play markers in the second and a Nathan MacKinnon goal 39 seconds into the third before Miles Wood beat Oettinger for the game-winner in overtime. It's the first time that Oettinger's allowed more than two goals in a game since the first game of the opening round against Vegas. The 25-year-old netminder now sports a .915 save percentage with a 2.15 GAA through eight postseason contests. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:14 am
    • Records assist Tuesday
Skjei notched an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 4-3 double-overtime loss to the Rangers in Game 2.

Advice: Skjei assisted on Dmitry Orlov's late first-period tally to give Carolina a 2-1 lead heading into the second frame. As Orlov skated towards the front of the net from the corner, Skjei floated a shot from the point that was redirected past Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin. However, the 30-year-old Skjei ultimately took a penalty in overtime that New York took advantage of to win the game. Look for Skjei to rebound with a strong effort in Game 3 on Thursday. • Gets nod for Game 1
Oettinger will start Game 1 on Tuesday at home against Colorado in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, per Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.

Advice: Oettinger was stellar in the first round against Vegas, recording a .925 save percentage and allowing only 14 goals in seven appearances. The 25-year-old will have a tough matchup against Colorado, who leads the league in playoff goals with 28 in only five games. The Stars will likely continue to ride Oettinger throughout their postseason run. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:00 am
