    • Status Thursday uncertain
Kreider, who took a maintenance day Wednesday, is not a lock to suit up against Carolina in Game 6 on Thursday, though coach Peter Laviolette said it was "a real positive" that Kreider skated Thursday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today reports.

Advice: Kreider's potential absence could be nothing more than playoff head games being played by the Rangers bench boss, but unfortunately, fantasy players will need to monitor the situation ahead of warmups. In nine playoff appearances, the 33-year-old Kreider has generated four goals and three assists, including three power-play points. If Kreider can't go in Game 6, Will Cuylle could be shifted into a top-six role. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:47 am
    • Nets lone goal in Game 5 loss
Reinhart scored a goal on eight shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Bruins in Game 5.

Advice: Reinhart has been dialed in with two goals and four assists over five games in the second round. The 28-year-old is up to five goals, nine points, 46 shots on net, 30 hits and a plus-3 rating over 10 playoff contests. Reinhart has earned just two of his postseason points with the man advantage after collecting 34 of his 94 regular-season points on the power play. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:37 pm

    • Loses close Game 5
Bobrovsky allowed two goals on 28 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Bruins in Game 5.

Advice: Bobrovsky's loss came on thin margins, as Morgan Geekie and Charlie McAvoy had the goals for the Bruins. McAvoy's goal was reviewed for goaltender interference, but it was upheld. Bobrovsky has lost both contests in the second round where he's faced more than 20 shots, which could be problematic if he can't clutch up with the Bruins upping their intensity while facing elimination. It's a near guarantee Bobrovsky will get the nod for Friday's Game 6 in his second chance to send the Panthers to the Eastern Conference Finals. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:34 pm
    • Minus-3 in loss
Kreider was on the ice for three goals against in Monday's 4-1 loss to Carolina in Game 5.

Advice: It was a forgettable night for Kreider as he failed to register a point and went minus-3 in the clash. No other Rangers player was on the ice for more than two goals against in Monday's defeat. After starting the postseason with points in six of seven games, Kreider has now failed to find the scoresheet in consecutive contests. The 33-year-old did have two shots on goal and four hits in 18:51 of ice time in his latest tilt. Kreider and the Rangers will have another chance to eliminate the Hurricanes in Game 6 on Thursday. • Starting in Game 5
Bobrovsky will patrol the home crease in Game 5 versus the Bruins on Tuesday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Advice: Bobrovsky hasn't been at his best versus the Bruins, posting an .885 save percentage through the first four games of the series, but he's still gone 3-1 over that stretch thanks to fantastic goal support from his teammates. He'll attempt to secure a fourth straight win over Boston and punch Florida's ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals on home ice Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:00 am
    • Back-to-back losses
Shesterkin stopped 24 of 27 shots in Monday's 4-1 loss against Carolina in Game 5.

Advice: Shesterkin had a shutout bid with the Rangers up 1-0 entering the third period, but Carolina bested the netminder three times in the final frame before wrapping up the scoring with an empty-netter. The 28-year-old goaltender now has losses in consecutive games after seven straight victories to start the postseason. He's 7-2 with a 2.33 GAA and a .924 save percentage in the playoffs. Shesterkin and the Rangers will be in Carolina on Thursday for Game 6 of the second-round series. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:35 am
    • Consecutive victories
Andersen turned aside 20 of 21 shots in Monday's 4-1 win over the Rangers in Game 5.

Advice: With the Hurricanes on the brink of elimination at Madison Square Garden, Andersen put forth a solid effort against New York. The 34-year-old did not face a heavy workload, as Carolina played with more structure in front of the goaltender. It was only the second time in Andersen's nine starts this postseason that he's allowed less than two goals in a game. Carolina will need the veteran to be at his best again Thursday in Game 6 against the Rangers. Andersen is 6-3 with a 2.46 GAA and a .902 save percentage during the playoffs. • Guarding crease Monday
Shesterkin will get the starting nod for Game 5 at home against the Hurricanes, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.

Advice: Shesterkin was riding a seven-game winning streak to begin the playoffs before Carolina finally beat him in Game 4 on Saturday. He allowed four goals on 31 shots in the loss, the first time this postseason he's allowed more than three. He's registered an impressive .925 save percentage while facing 160 shots this series. • First goalie off Monday
Andersen was the first goalie to leave the ice Monday, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports, indicating he'll be in goal on the road for Game 5 against the Rangers.

Advice: Andersen was almost certainly going to get the start after helping the team stave off elimination by stopping 22 of 25 shots in Game 4. Still, the veteran netminder is sporting a lackluster .874 save percentage over his last four appearances. At this point, if Andersen can extend the series again, he should remain between the pipes heading into Game 6. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:24 am
