Johansen (undisclosed) doesn't believe he's medically fit to play hockey, and GM Daniel Briere doesn't expect to get the 31-year-old forward back, Jon Bailey of Philly Hockey Now reports Friday.

Advice: Johansen had 13 goals and 23 points in 63 contests with Colorado before being dealt to Philadelphia on March 6. The Flyers promptly tried to reassign him to AHL Lehigh Valley, but Johansen informed Philadelphia that he was hurt, which made him ineligible to be moved to the minors, per Max Miller of The Hockey News. Instead, he spent the remainder of the campaign attempting to recover from the injury. He comes with an $8 million annual cap hit through 2024-25, but the Flyers are only responsible for half of that burden with the rest being charged to Nashville because the Predators retained salary as part of the trade to Colorado back in June. If Johansen can't play in 2024-25, then he will presumably be moved to long-term injured reserve. Rotowire.com Today, 12:33 pm
    • Back at practice Friday
Hedman (illness) returned to practice Friday, per Gabby Shirley of Bally Sports Florida.

Advice: Hedman had another terrific season, scoring 13 goals and adding 63 assists. The Lightning's top blueliner had one assist in each of the three games versus Florida -- their first-round playoff opponent -- this season. Rotowire.com Today, 8:32 am
    • Supplies power-play assist
Fowler notched a power-play assist and three blocked shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Golden Knights.

Advice: Fowler finished the campaign on a five-game assist streak. The 32-year-old dealt with some challenges as the most veteran member of a young defense corps, but he came away with 39 points, 109 shots on net, 119 blocked shots and a minus-36 rating through 81 games. Fowler remains productive on offense and a minutes-eater defensively, though his fantasy utility varies by format, and that's likely to remain true in 2024-25. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:02 pm
    • Two points against Isles
Malkin scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Islanders.

Advice: The 37-year-old center wrapped up a solid finish to the campaign that saw him deliver four multi-point performances in his final eight games. Malkin ends 2023-24 with 27 goals and 67 points through 82 games, and he's now played every game for Pittsburgh in each of the last two seasons -- that's an impressive feat all on its own, as it's the first time he's managed to do that since his age-21 and 22 seasons. Malkin still appears to have plenty left in the tank, and he has some milestones left to aim for -- he needs just two more goals for 500 in his career and four more points for 1,300. • Secures win over Sabres
Bobrovsky made 29 saves while conceding two goals in a 3-2 overtime victory over Buffalo on Saturday.

Advice: Bobrovsky ends the regular season having gone undefeated in regulation over his final four appearances. During that stretch, the veteran backstop went 3-0-1 with a 1.22 GAA and two shutouts. Look for Bobrovsky to see all of the starts once the Panthers' first-round series against the Lightning starts Sunday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:43 am
    • Sitting due to illness
Hedman (illness) won't play Wednesday versus the Maple Leafs, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.

Advice: There's no point in playing through it for Hedman, as the Lightning are locked into the first wild-card spot. Hedman will end the regular season with 13 goals, 76 points, 168 shots on net and 102 blocked shots over 78 appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:36 pm
    • Unavailable for Thursday
Pietrangelo (illness) will miss Thursday's tilt versus Anaheim, according to Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Advice: Pietrangelo hasn't been in the lineup since April 2, but it wouldn't be surprising if he dressed for Game 1 of the playoffs. The 34-year-old defenseman will finish the 2023-24 regular season with four goals and 33 points across 64 outings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:43 pm
    • Won't play Tuesday
Pietrangelo (illness) won't be in the lineup Tuesday against Chicago, per Paul Delos Santos of NHL.com.

Advice: Pietrangelo will miss his sixth straight contest. He has produced four goals, 33 points, 141 shots on net and 160 blocked shots in 64 appearances this season. Pietrangelo's final chance to return to action before the playoffs is Thursday against Anaheim. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:49 pm
    • Two goals, three points in win
Cozens tallied two goals and added an assist in Monday's 4-2 win over Tampa Bay.

Advice: Cozens opened the scoring 1:26 into the first period, firing a loose puck over the shoulder of Andrei Vasilevskiy before adding a shorthanded marker in the second. The 23-year-old Cozens would grab a third point with an assist on Zach Benson's tally in the third. Cozens entered Monday's contest with just one goal and four points over his previous 14 games. He'll wrap up the season with 18 goals and 47 points in 79 games, a significant step back from his 31-goal/68-point campaign in 2022-23. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:47 am
