Pavelski said Tuesday that he won't play in 2024-25 and is likely to bring an end to his 18-year NHL career, Ryan S. Clark of ESPN.com reports. "This is it for me," Pavelski said.

Advice: While Pavelski didn't say outright that he was retiring from professional hockey, he acknowledged in his postseason exit interviews that he had known for a while that the 2023-24 season would be his last in the NHL. The second-oldest player in the NHL this past season, Pavelski remained a productive source of offense for Dallas, notching 27 goals and 40 assists while playing in all 82 contests. Before joining Dallas as a free agent in 2019, Pavelski served as a longtime captain for San Jose and represented the club in two All-Star Games. He added two more All-Star appearances to his ledger during his five seasons in Dallas and finishes his career with 476 goals and 592 assists over 1,332 regular-season games. • Sends Edmonton to Cup Finals
Skinner allowed one goal on 35 shots in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Stars in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: The Oilers scored twice on their 10 shots, and Skinner made sure that was enough to win with one of his best performances of the playoffs. This was just the second time the Stars were able to put up 30-plus shots, but Skinner won both of those contests. He's now 11-5 with a 2.50 GAA and an .897 save percentage through 16 contests. Skinner is almost certain to be between the pipes for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals versus the Panthers on Saturday in Florida. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:26 pm
    • Tending twine Sunday
Skinner will face the Stars at home for Game 6 on Sunday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.

Advice: Skinner has won two straight games to put the Oilers up 3-2 over Dallas. In those two victories, he stopped a combined 39 of 42 shots. He's struggled at times this postseason and has an .890 save percentage through 15 playoff appearances. However, he's been much better against the Stars, posting a 2.08 GAA and .908 save percentage through five contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:37 pm
    • Wins again in Game 5
Skinner stopped 19 of 20 shots in Friday's 3-1 win over the Stars in Game 5.

Advice: The Oilers' defense again stood tall, making Skinner's job easier with another light workload. The lone goal against him was tipped in by Wyatt Johnston. Skinner has won five of his last seven games, and he's given up two goals or fewer in six of those contests. He'll likely be between the pipes in Game 6 on Sunday with a chance to send the Oilers to the Stanley Cup Finals. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:31 pm
    • Between pipes in Game 5
Skinner will defend the road crease in Dallas for Game 5 on Friday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.

Advice: Skinner gave up a pair of early goals in Game 4 and then shut the door, stopping 20 shots as the Oilers evened the series at 2-2 with a 5-2 win Wednesday. Skinner has a 2.34 GAA and a .900 save percentage in four games against Dallas in the playoffs. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:57 am
    • Big impact in Game 4 win
Nurse logged an assist, 12 hits and three blocked shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Stars in Game 4.

Advice: Nurse has been the target of some ire for his poor play in the playoffs, and he got off to an ugly start in this game. He was on the ice for both of the Stars' first-period tallies, including one that banked into the net off his body. Nurse was able to rebound, picking up a helper on a Ryan McLeod goal, and he followed up with a huge physical performance for the rest of the game. Nurse has just three assists with an ugly minus-12 rating through 16 playoff contests, but he's added 35 hits, 37 blocked shots and 31 shots on net while playing in a top-four role. That non-scoring production still gives him a path to relevance in DFS formats. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:29 pm
    • Evens series with Game 4 win
Skinner stopped 20 of 22 shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Stars in Game 4.

Advice: It was an ugly first few minutes for Skinner, as the Stars held a 2-0 lead at 5:29 of the first period. The Oilers evened the score by the intermission and ran away with the game over the final 40 minutes, with Skinner hardly tested down the stretch. The Western Conference Finals are tied at two games apiece, and Skinner hasn't had to face more than 24 shots in any of the last three contests. He's now 9-5 with a 2.71 GAA and an .887 save percentage over 14 playoff games. He'll look to build some momentum for the Oilers in Game 5 on Friday in Dallas. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:39 pm
    • Tending twine in Game 4
Skinner will patrol the home crease Wednesday in Game 4 against Dallas, according to Ryan Rishaug of TSN.

Advice: Skinner surrendered four goals on 21 shots in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Stars in Game 3. He has lost his last two outings, stopping 39 of 45 shots during that span. Skinner has posted an 8-5 record with a 2.76 GAA and an .885 save percentage through 13 starts this postseason. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:32 am
